DF Spoilers / Was Another Hand At Work at the Party in Grave Peril?
« on: June 15, 2021, 11:01:20 AM »

Harry wasn't going to go to that party... But then the screw up and he lost the Sword in a silly attempt to kill Lea with it.  So he and Michael set off to try to recover it at the party..

Which was way complicated by his discovery that Susan had crashed the party, which was an added distraction.  It almost seems like another hand was at work here... Think about it, Harry, knowing it  bode no good for him to go, had no intention of going to that party.  If he hadn't lost the Sword, he never would have gone to the Party with Michael, which set off a whole list of things..  Interesting don't you think that after when all the dust has settled, I think it was Justine, turns up at his place with the returned Sword, totally unharmed.  1] Harry had no intention of going to that party.  Would he have figured out that Susan and stole and forged a copy in time to go and save her?  2] Even if he did find out in time and went, without the Sword being there, there would have been no attempted sacrifice with it, which is what really set things off...

Susan is a distraction in all of this, the shiny object that we all follow.. But in the order of events at that party, she is of no consequence.  Yeah, I know she gets half turned, her and Harry have sex, little Maggie is the result, which leads to the downfall of the Red Court.. Important, but....

What is important?  Harry panics and makes that silly attempt to kill Lea with Michael's Sword.. It doesn't allow Itself to be misused, but instead of shattering,[as the Sword of Faith did when Murphy misused it,]  if merely falls out of his hands and Lea grabs it... Convenient, don't you think?  Yes, Murphy was an ex-Holy Knight, Harry, just a punk wizard, might have made the difference between shattering and not, but still..  Suddenly Lea has something to present or trade at the party.. Harry and Michael know that has to be prevented so they go to the party.. Events unfold, Lea is presented with the infected Knife, an attempted sacrifice of an innocent with the Sword, which really triggered the chaos.  Important thing to remember without the Sword falling into Lea's hands and going to the party, Harry wouldn't have gone to that party, and would have remained ignorant of a lot of things that become vital that he know for the rest of the series..  What is even more interesting, for all the events that should have shattered or altered it, in the end the Sword is returned to Harry's place and thus to Michael, totally unharmed...  It is almost like the Sword had a mind of it's own, and it does, if one thinks about an angel possessing it..  Another Hand needed for Harry to be at the party, to get vital information for the events to come, and manipulated him..

DF Spoilers / Was Justin Infected? Miscalculations...
« on: May 20, 2021, 01:13:58 PM »

  There are a lot of questions surrounding Justin.  How he came to know about Elaine and Harry.  That he was raising them to enforcers. Enforcers for what? Ghost Story, when Justin confronted Harry with a straight jacket, Harry asks, "why?"  Justin answers;

Quote
"You don't have the knowledge you need to understand boy.  Not yet.  But you will in time."

That is weird, because he sounded just like Eb and Listens to Wind, in Peace Talks.  Morgan and Eb both call Justin, paraphrasing "a bastard who had gotten a hold of Harry." But what if unknown to them, Justin was working under orders from the Council?  However Justin miscalculated, infected, he was going to double cross the Council, but he hadn't anticipated that Harry would resist his efforts to enthrall him.

Again in Ghost Story, HWWB seems to know all about Harry, he calls him a "child of the stars.."  He seems to also know all about Justin's training of him as well.  He appears to be testing Harry's potential, as young as Harry is..  One wonders, if HWWB knew all of this, was Justin infected? And on one hand he was working under orders, but on the other hand because he was infected, Justin had another agenda.. But he miscalculated..

HWWB also miscalculated, he was close to succeeding in intimidating Harry and was proceeding to murder him... But he made a critical error, he murdered poor Stan in front of innocent 16 year old Harry's eyes.  Harry had never witnessed anything like that, he knew it wasn't right, he knew Stan didn't deserve to die, it pissed him off.. That,I believe was the true turning point in Harry's life, that was the spirit of Malcolm coming through.  In that moment he demonstrated "power over Outsiders."

DF Spoilers / Will It Be Bonea That Actually Tells Harry the Truth?
« on: May 20, 2021, 12:33:31 PM »

   In White Night just before she decides to sacrifice herself, Lash begins to tell Harry why he
was conceived.  But there is no time to answer Harry's questions, however she does promise
to answer them later.  However later never happens, to save Harry's sanity and life, she sacrifices herself.  Odd moment happens later after it was all over, Harry is playing his guitar, he believes Lash is gone and he hears a faint whisper..

Quote
Everything I can, dear host.

It freaks him out he goes to the basement, digs up the coin, and calls Father Forthill to pick it up.  He was afraid he'd have to go through the whole thing again with another form of the Shadow of Lasciel, or Lasciel, herself?  Most likely, because the assumption is he thought he was hearing Lash or Lasciel.  So was it a message from Lash?  One would think that it couldn't be Bonea because now she functions like a toddler..  However is it a hint that all the information Lash had regarding Harry has been passed on to their daughter, and at some point Bonea will tell Harry everything surrounding his birth, the how, the why, his mother and father's decision to conceive him.  Plus all the other questions, what he was meant to be, why this information has been kept from him by the Council, what Justin's real goal was when he adopted him and Elaine.. Why he tried to enthrall him, where do the Outsiders fit in?  Because it is hinted from the Ghost Story flashbacks from what HWWB said, that Harry wasn't just conceived to fight Outsiders, but somewhere their plan or Justin's plan went astray... Oh crap, yet another question, perhaps for another thread...

DF Spoilers / More Questions, Sham, Cover Up....
« on: May 17, 2021, 03:55:42 PM »

  Sorry I am rambling this morning, but these squirrels are finding their way onto the exercise wheel
of my brain..

   1] We know that Morgan was aware of Harry from the get go and what he was supposed to be..
    So did he keep quiet at Harry's trial when he was sixteen? If so.  Why? It cannot all be because he fell into Justin's hands..  In fact all the more reason to push for the chop..
    2] At the trial they must have known Harry was the son of Margaret, but were mostly ignorant that Eb was his grand father?  Why promote Harry to full wizard while still a minor?  Overlook sort of that he broke the First Law, putting him under the Doom in the hands of the Blackstaff.. Oh yeah, Eb had orders, watch him, kill him if need be.. If he was going full warlock?  Some thought he already had, or for signs that he couldn't be controlled?  Did being Blackstaff mean that Eb was immune from suffering the same fate as Harry if he went bad?  There were some as late as Summer Knight who were still calling Harry a warlock, how come they weren't demanding Eb's head as well?

So in effect was Harry's trial a sham to cover up the fact that they lost control of him and the experiment back when Malcolm died and Morgan failed to keep track of him?  Also the cover up
continues because they still thought up until Battle Ground that they could still use Harry.. Now, like Kemmler they fear he has become too powerful, so after the Battle of Chicago they set up a kangaroo court to convict him, sort of, they still want to control him... Good luck with that..

20
  Reading Yuillegan's excellent post, I ask the question for all the talk of parallels between Harry and Kemmler, what about Kemmler and Cowl?  Until Cowl came along Harry was pretty ignorant on the subject of Kemmler other than he knew that Justin and other Wardens took him down, and that Justin managed to steal Bob out from under the noses of the other Wardens.  We know that Justin had to have put some controls on that original Bob, or Evil Bob, but was using him towards an unknown goal, which also included Elaine and Harry as enforcers and possible star born candidates.  We know that Dead Beat was all about "the book," necromancy and the Dark Hallow, Kemmler had it, but did he write it?  I don't think that question is known.. Mavra knew of the book, and Cowl knew of the book, Lasciel/Sheila knew of it and helped maneuver Harry into getting it and translating it for him.. I'd wager that there are other forces at work as well, why else would Gard be so easily talked out of taking Harry when the Corpsetaker had him down?

Cowl may have thought Kemmler was mad, but who tried to actually perform Dark Hallow?  It wasn't Kemmler.. So who was/is more dangerous?  Kemmler or Cowl?  Is Cowl yet another star born? They seem to be popping up all over the place these days, why else did he think he could pull it off?  Is that what Mavra is after?  Does she want godhood or was she getting it for Drakul?  Raising the dead on mass is a good trick, but the Black Court doesn't need the book for that.

Was Kemmler originally a failed experiment on the part of the Senior Council?  In other words was he selectively bred by the Council as a star born to be their ultimate enforcer?  Unlike Harry,  from birth he was aware of why he was bred, but in the end that knowledge either drove him mad, or into thinking since he had godlike powers he really didn't need to play the enforcer for the Council. They had to play by his rules, so they took him down..  That is why they kept all knowledge of their second breeding experiment from Harry, better control... However it was doomed to fail as well because Margaret threw a monkey wrench into it when she fell in love with Malcolm.. Also other events orchestrated by others, motives unknown, that are still playing out on the great chess board.

Cowl knew of the Council's eugenics experiments, but not the details of Harry's birth.. He knows what Harry is supposed to be, that is why he said what he did in their first meeting.  HWWB knows about the eugenics experiments as did Justin, but not the impact of "the Malcolm factor."  Margaret knew from the onset that Council was corrupt and rebelled against it in every way she could.  It wasn't until she met and fell in love with Malcolm did she think of a better way to fight the system.. Use this good soul in a little eugenic experiment of her own, the result was Harry.

What doesn't make sense, is it is clear from Morgan's journal, Peace Talks, and Battle Ground, that the Senior Council is well aware that Harry is a star born.  So was he the product of their second experiment? The facts about it are all hush,hush, and they have or had their own plans on how to use Harry or to make sure they would be able to use him, when the time comes.. Okay, but how is it they used a woman, accused warlock, who supposedly was under a kill on sight order to be the mother?  Was a deal struck with Eb?  But if it was, why do so many seem to be ignorant that Eb is Margaret's father and Harry's grandfather?  How was Margaret able to come forward for this plea deal?  Agreeing to give birth to a star born for the Council?  And if she did,how is it that they allowed her to pick the father? Or was she able to pull a fast one on them with the aid of the likes of Rashid, and the Winter Court? In the process also pulled a fast one on the Winter Court?  She got her baby protected, Mab got ultimately the Winter Knight she wants, but not quite, "the Malcolm Factor" is still at play...  Is Harry merely a pawn?  Star born, but still a pawn in somebody's game, or will he up end the whole thing in the end? If he does, was that all part of the original plan?

21

  It isn't because she wants a closer alliance with the White Court, I doubt that she needs this marriage for that.  No, what she wants is to drive a wedge between Harry and Molly.  Mab has come to realize that Molly and Harry together are more than a match for her.  She also knows it has a chance of getting closer after Murphy's death, so to prevent that she wants him to marry Lara.  I doubt that Mab wants Lara as her successor, and I doubt that Lara wants to be her successor.  All Lara cares about is her family's well being and power, she'd mostly stay out of Mab's way and use her if possible.  More importantly she might be able to neuter Harry in a "proud cut" sort of matter so while he will continue to have all the spirit he had before, it is less likely he will unite with Molly to be a threat to Mab and her over all plans.

DF Spoilers / Marcone/Namshiel, It Seems Weird to Me...
« on: April 28, 2021, 06:31:37 PM »

  Okay,this thought hit me while reading Groinkick's post about Marcone in the time traveling thread.
On one hand not sure if it is a deep enough thought to warrant it's own thread, but on the other it would have totally hijacked the other topic, so here goes.

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures and power corrupts even the already corrupted, but it is weird that Marcone would take up a coin.  The Denarians did a number on him on Demonreach back in Small Favor.. So much so that he and Mab planned and got revenge on Nic and company in Skin Game..  So now they kiss and make up?  Or are there going to be unforeseen consequences down the road?  At the moment Namhiel is glad to be back in business with a ruthless intelligent host, and Marcone was happy to save Chicago and getting more power, but who is using whom and what is the ultimate goal?

23

  Okay, so six books from now Murphy returns..  How will she have changed?  Will she have changed?
What do you not want to see?  What do you want to see?  What is the worst possible form she could take?  What is the best?  Is there a form so altered that you are sorry that she was brought back at all? How will that effect the story?

DF Spoilers / Put On Your Tin Foil Hats, New Rudolph Theory
« on: February 20, 2021, 06:09:03 PM »

  It occurred to me while I was posting in the "Balance" thread and I started to write it.  But then I
realized it may deserve a thread of it's own since if anyone cares to expand it send the thread sideways.. Anyway, here goes;

Here is the thought I just had, "could a coin possession go wrong?"  I mean, say Rudolph did pick up a coin, but because of his mental/emotional make up instead of making him a useful Denarian, it just drives him insane and increasingly paranoid?  Or more likely, say he merely came in contact with a coin like Harry did?  Being a wizard and finally set straight by Butters that Sheila wasn't there, Harry figured it out and coped with the whispers in his head.  But there is no Butters to tip Rudolph off, and I doubt he believes in the existence of of fallen angels entrapped in coins that can then posses the human that they come in contact with.  So here he is, hearing voices and increasingly paranoid, and for whatever reason the shadow of the fallen holding the coin cannot get through.  It could maybe influence him to blow Murphy away, but that is about it.  Does anyone else think this is possible?

DF Spoilers / "Good People" Verses "Christmas Eve" Mab
« on: December 23, 2020, 02:32:14 PM »

  In "Christmas Eve" we have Mab paying a visit to Harry at the Carpenter house with a gift for
little Maggie that was influenced by the movie, "Frozen."  Now Mab did make some "Mabbish" demands with it, like to be sure little Maggie knows who that gift comes from.  We hear from Molly that Mab had consulted with Sarissa and had actually sat through the movie, and she totally hates Disney.  Longand the short of it, it was a small gesture of humanity on Mab's part towards Harry..  My question is,did Molly have a lot more to do with it than Sarissa?

In "Good People,"  Mab confronts Molly and tells her she has to give up being human if she is ever going to succeed as a Winter Queen.  Molly isn't about to take any crap, gets in her face and tells her where she can put the ice..  Mab oddly backs down, a reaction we've seen before, but when Harry has done very much the same thing.  Now Mab does accuse Molly of some "Summer" behavior, but I think she was just blowing frost.  I think Molly was able to melt that ice cube that Mab has as a heart just a bit, thus, though it wasn't much and she needed Sarissa's help, she made the gesture that she did towards Harry with the gift for little Maggie without losing her image..

26
  In Battle Ground Harry was able to do something the most powerful wizards on the planet cannot  do.  Raise a loyal army, that is why they freaked when Harry was able to call the Little Folk to his aid, and even if it was under Mab's power blanket, he was able to rally hundreds of Chicago vanilla citizens to his side to fight the Fomor and the Titian, he also was able to rally the Paranet.  That scares the hell out of them, in the war against the Red Court, yes, there was a wizard army, some cooperation from the Winter Court, but no one outside of that.  Most wizards are solo creatures, Christos, Eb, and Listens to Wind did do their part in the battle, but they couldn't call anyone/followers to their side to sacrifice and fight.  The only other wizard I can think of that had/has disciples/followers on that level, was Kemmler.  And they also know by now that Harry possesses the Spear of Destiny and all that goes with that.  No wonder Harry has them wetting their robes.

DF Spoilers / Would You Be Shocked If....
« on: November 11, 2020, 02:40:46 PM »

Poor Thomas turns out not to be the father of Justine's child? Out of his own mouth in the beginning
of Peace talks, while not impossible, it is highly unlikely that he got her pregnant.  Thomas says that White Court Vamps are for the most part sterile... Possible he is the exception because of who is mother was, but is it likely?  He says they were using birth control.. Failure? Possible, but how likely added to the probable low sperm count for Thomas?  Justine was lying about using it? Very likely, but at the same time if Thomas was right about himself, still an outside chance.

Did HWWBs/Nemesis arrange for the outside chance of Thomas getting pregnant happen? Very likely, Justine/HWWBs/Nemesis admitted as much.  However not said, whether or not Thomas was the father.  It would be much easier for Justine to be unfaithful and get pregnant by a guy with a probable normal sperm count, actually the most logical thing for her to do.  Thomas wasn't going to demand a DNA test, he would just accept it and become worried to the point where he'd do anything to save her.

Finally, Harry's gut feeling that something was a bit off about Justine when he told her the news about Thomas in the beginning of Peace Talks.. Could it be that her reaction felt off because there was no connection between her child and Thomas, not just the plan.

DF Spoilers / Earlier Connection Between Me and N? [BG Spoilers]
« on: October 29, 2020, 07:36:25 PM »
  In Small Favor when I was looking for references to Chandler I came across something curious. A bunch of Denarians had gotten the chop and Harry had collected the coins in his Crown Royal sack, Namshiel picked his pocket..  Here is what Harry says page 380

Quote
There's nothing like getting taken with an old trick, I guess.  But that meant that Namshiel had been working together with someone else--someone else who had been hanging around to collect the coins after he'd taken them from my pocket and tossed them off to the side in the confusion.

So rereading, when Marcone is freed, he appears hardly worse for wear, he doesn't even appear overly upset.  It really doesn't go into too much detail of how he got off the island once freed.  Or I missed it in my skimming... But one has to ask, how did Marcone get a hold of Namshiel's coin to begin with?  Had some deal been worked out between Nic and Marcone?  His kidnapping was a set up, Nic hoped to gain the Sword of Faith and break it, and Marcone would get to bank any coins for future use?  Which makes some kind of crazy weird sense if you consider Skin Game..  Supposedly Marcone,Mab, and Hades set Nic up to get revenge for Marcone's kidnapping.. But what if it was a double, double, cross?  Nic and Marcone were really setting Mab up, use her Winter Knight to steal the Artifacts, because their object was more than the Grail.  But they were double, double, double crossed by Harry who stole them and took them to Demonreach, though he did give the Grail to Nic as bargained for.  So Marcone, in a bigger future power grab, takes up Namshiel's coin.  Question, does he still have the rest of those coins backed somewhere?  But stay tuned sports fans, this is what Marcone might have been thinking when he said he was learning to think long term..

DF Spoilers / "Talk To Me..." Had Carlos Already Drank the Kool-Aid?
« on: October 29, 2020, 04:04:00 PM »

  A lot has been made that Harry should have trusted Carlos more and should have talked to him about what was happening in Peace Talks..  Really?

First chapter of Peace Talks when Harry and Thomas are jogging on the beach etc.  Carlos shows up
and tells Harry about the peace talks with the Fomor and that he gets to choose his team and he wants Harry to be a part of it.  All very friendly banter, except for a small thing, Carlos asks Harry how much his weighted vest weighs.. Then he kind of eyes Harry.. Given what we know now, was Carlos already sizing Harry up as a possible monster? Also supposedly they are friends, but no "FYI from Carlos that there is some crap coming down about Harry from the Senior Council and to be on his guard.. None, we also know now that is when Carlos put the tracker ink spot on him.. He also knows Thomas was on the beach, he too has worked with Thomas, some idea how close Harry and Thomas are, but not that they are brothers.

So events move along, the ink spot isn't a listening device, so he might not know about Eb's visit, unless it was preplanned between Carlos and Eb..

Carlos knows Harry spent considerable time at Murphy's place, but unknown if he knows what their relationship is.

Knows about the return to the apartment , the events there..

He knows of the visit to Justine..

At some point Harry picks up Murphy and they head to the Raith Estate to find out more information, because Harry hasn't a clue as to what is going on except that his brother is in deep poop...

On the way back they are stopped by the Wardens.. Now it gets interesting..
Harry finds out some interesting facts, he already knows from Eb that the Senior Council wants him gone,
1]  Carlos had put a tracking dot on ink on him at the beach..  Harry's response;
Quote
"Wow," I said in a level tone. "Mistrusting me from the get-go, huh?"

Carlos replies about doing shady things , shady times and shady people... But when he put that dot on Harry, he was merely running on the beach.

2] Yoshimo scans Harry for recent sexual contact... "Talk to me..." Oh yeah, Carlos knew Harry had spent lots of time at Murphy's place.. Maybe he didn't know they were a couple, but maybe he did, if he and Harry were such good friends.  But because Harry visited Lara, Thomas's sister, well, did you have sex with the vampire?  Did she put the whammy on you?  Chandler explains very honestly why Harry is suspect in the recent events... "Talk to me..." "We don't understand, we are all friends."

Quote
The way he said wewas something new.  He wasn't using the word as an inclusive one, like, we are all friends. He was using it as an exclusive term We, but not you.

But Chandler didn't feel good about this at all, because he attempted to telegraph a message to Harry with his eyes.
Quote
I saw recognition flicker in them as he saw me process what he was actually saying: Be advised, Harry. The White Council now considers you a threat.

Harry got the message, odd don't you think the warning came from Chandler, not from his good friend, Carlos.

"Talk to me..."  Yet, Carlos put a tracking dot on Harry before any of this hit the fan.. No FYI, no heads up at all.. Except a well, you should have known type thing, get down in the mud with pigs you get muddy type thing...

Harry's dilemma... He likes Carlos, he knows he is a good man, yet Carlos pulled that crap with the tracking dot.  Harry trusts he'd do the right thing, but really?  Where are his loyalties really? To Harry, who he thinks might have turned into a monster, he thinks Molly did, why not Harry?  Or to the Senior Council? To whom he is sworn as an arm of the law.

Harry wanted to talk to Carlos, but alone.. But that got complicated in the intrigue of was Carlos subverted by the Senior Council, isolated... But if talked to Harry alone would be suspected of being subverted by him and isolated.. Did Carlos really think Harry was a sock puppet of someone? If Harry did come clean, would Carlos go back and tell the Senior Council everything and make things worse?  Then the Council might think that Harry was giving some misinformation, all of which had to be verified... And Harry didn't have time for any of that..

So after everything goes down, Harry is kicked out, and Carlos says,

Quote
"You made the call when you didn't talk to me.  And sixty thousand people died."

Really?  Carlos bought into the argument on the beach when he put the tracking dot on Harry's wrist and asked how much weight his running vest was.  From his look he had already bought into the idea that Harry was Mab's personal monster.. Now he is trying to rationalize the fact that he had betrayed a friend.. "You didn't talk to me. And sixty thousand people died."  Really?  Harry didn't arrange for the Fomor to come with a Titan with the goal of wiping out the City of Chicago for starters.. Carlos had drunk the Kool-Aid, and had drank it from the beginning..  Call it PTSD from his encounter with Molly.

DF Spoilers / "The Center Cannot Hold" > "Empty Night"
« on: October 23, 2020, 02:05:42 PM »
The poem, "The Second Coming" by Yeats

Quote
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

What the plan is according to HWWBs, as told to Harry in Battle Ground page361
Quote
"Empty Night," the Creature echoed, in the hushed tone of a holy
phrase.  "So we pressed the attacks at the Outer Gates.  While I sowed havoc within the walls of reality.

Okay, the battle at the Outer Gates has been going on forever.  HWWBs did sew havoc within the walls of reality.  Storm Front, Victor Sells suddenly turns into a first class sorcerer, remotely exploding hearts and cooking up Three Eye..  A curious warning from a junkie that no doubt hasn't a clue of what he is saying or who he is talking about.
Storm Front page 138

Quote
'Wizard!" I see you! I see you, wizard! I see the things that follows, those who walk before and He Who Walks Behind!" They come, they come for you!"

Harry begins to suspect other forces at work, for lack of a better word he calls them the Black Council or Circle.

HWWBs continues;
Quote
We loosed some of the primal forces of your own precious Creation against you.

Could it be referring to the Fallen here?  At first I thought the Red Court, but primal Creation would fit more with all of it, from angels and stars to planets.  Hmmm.. Nemesis behind the original rebellion of the angels which led to the Fall, which led to the thirty trapped with in the thirty coins, the Denarians?

Here is a wild thought, given the seeming cooperation between Harry and Marcone/Namshiel and perhaps a little of what Nic said back in Skin Game..  Will team Harry and team Denarian ultimately be fighting on the same side in the BAT, because the chaos of Nemesis doesn't serve the forces of the Fallen any more than it does Heaven or mortals.

HWWBs continues;
Quote
Undermine Mab, her people, the Accords, the delusion of order you force upon the universe with your useless presence.

As early as Summer Knight,  again Primal Creation, the seasons, are threatened when Mab is effectively accused of murder.  It is sorted out in the end, but revealed an infected Aurora, a traitorous Winter Knight, a vendetta against Harry by the White Council.  Grave  Peril, Lea, Mab's second, craves power and is given an infected Knife, which infects her and ultimately infects Maeve, undermining Mab.  Susan is half turned, Harry kills Bianca which leads to war between the Red Court and The White Council.  Death Masks, a double agent, Martin helps set up the events that lead to the conception of Maggie.

I am not sure whether or not the Red King ever realizes that he was no more than a cat's paw for Nemesis.  He was, down to his vendetta against Eb, the kidnapping of little Maggie which lead to Harry reversing the spell that ended the Red Court.. Hmm.. Did the Red King willingly sacrifice himself and his people for the cause? Or their function finished, they were discarded, making way for  a force, The Fomor.

  Their attacks, kidnappings have served very well, to undermine the Accords, ultimately, Justine/Nemesis arranging her pregnancy, pushing Thomas to his assassination attempt. Plan to further splinter the Accords, but Corb and the Titan's invasion had the opposite effect temporarily.  But as Harry notes when he speaks to the Accords members after the battle, not all the members are there, notably, The White Council, who as Harry says is the sole representative of humanity.  He also notes before he managed to turn it around by invoking the ancient and unwritten hospitality law, that the members were in the beginning stages of a vendetta against humanity out of fear of them.

The White Council has booted Harry out, because they fear him, but as Mab points out they are going to need him.  Here is another thought, the Gate Keeper keeps things very close to the vest, does the White Council even know who the real enemy is?  Is this going to be the confrontation that Rashid foresaw between Harry and the Council? The opening of the White Council's eyes?

Now is HWWBs calling Harry's presence useless against it, or any force in general?

Back to "The Second Coming"

That is exactly what has happened in the last two books.. Can the center be put together, or is the future truly Empty Night?
