DF Spoilers / Re: Did Kincaid know Drakul was in town?
« on: Today at 07:25:38 AM »
While interesting, it doesn't address the question at hand.
It tells you that he's a drunken wreck at the moment which answers the original question about whether he'd know about Drakul being in town, people in that state probably aren't tracking the actions of a boss they cut ties with at least decades ago.

I think Harry should give him a job.
Or at the very least focus on mending bridges between him and Ivy as part of Twelve Months.
How should we know? He didn't appear in Battle Ground and Jim hasn't said anything about him.
Priscellie: Alrighty. What has Kincaid been up to since the events of Changes?

Jim: Oh Kincaid. I will say this much, Kincaid and Ivy kind of had their falling out.

Priscellie: It's in one of the microfictions on

Jim: Oh yeah I actually did that on the website. Since then he's been feeling guilty a lot and drinking and sort of stalking Ivy about and still trying to protect her occasionally and to which she's just like "no, no, I cannot deal with this, no" but he's bad at boundaries and so is she so it's a very broken relationship between the two of them.

So did the Hellhound know that his former kennel master was in town and what his plans were?
Probably not, he's been kind of floating around in a drunken and depressed haze alternating between stalking Ivy and taking jobs for humans, not tracking Drakul.

How easily Korb and Ethniu walks in a surprises EVERYONE. Mab, Odin, Ferro, etc...

I mean not even..."I feel a disturbance in the force" lol
Corb was expected and invited, Ethniu was a curveball but she'd been in hiding for thousands of years so it's not like they had any reason to expect her to pop up.

Well Harry getting into shapeshifting is an old woj and River Shoulders offered lessons in PT while Harry expressed interest in turning into a bird to get around easier in BG so it's probably happening soon.

Just what the series needs, another kid.
And that's the best argument there is against a third kid, Jim has already griped about the issues that Maggie causes with sticking to an outline that originally involved a childless Harry so why introduce another kid?

But whose fault is that. Harry or Jim?
We'll see when Twelve Months rolls around.

His other daughter is far less vulnerable.
Still no excuse for not even having a stray thought about her during all of Battle Ground.

Do as I say not as I do is a pretty consistent feature of authority figures after all.

Nic was fine with dying there because he knows that an archangel falling in exchange for the Nicodemus of this particular universe is an absolutely massive win for his team.

Mind you they have to delete the whole universe (aliens and all) if the outsiders really get a foothold by WoJ and being able to keep them off of your turf is a very different story from being able to just get rid of them at will (otherwise TWG is just a complete bastard).

Agreed with the others, and I'll also point out that of all the Fallen, Thorned Namshiel appears to be the most laid back of the thirty.  He can destroy you or have a cup of tea with equal preference, he doesn't seem to hold grudges very deeply, and based on our few interactions with him he likes the direct approach to payback.

Even if it wasn't a coincidence and there was Fallen influence in Murphey's death, I find it extremely unlikely that Namshiel's hand would have been behind it.
Less lazy and more far more interested in magical experiments than he is in tormenting people most of the time.

That can be interpreted in several ways.

And even so something different does not mean in all things different. The grace can be transferred and Uriel could have been killed without the grace. Both are also in the text.

And then maybe Michael would have ended up as Uriel or Urielís boss would have given the grace to someone else or ......

It has just not been made clear.
In Skin Game Uriel becomes a mortal and gets to trade places with Michael, what would have happened if he died? What would happen to his power?

If Uriel had died /somebody/ was going to be holding his grace, well it looks like you've got the job. And that would just be confusing because then there would be two Michaels that are archangels. "Michael the warrior and Michael the carpenter" "Carpenter, you mean like Jesus?" "No not the same guy". So it's probably a good thing it worked out the way it did.

DF Spoilers / Re: Jade Court?

Chi can be translated as breath. It has much broader applications than that. Life energy is Chi also. Perhaps he's misdirecting us?
You answered a couple of questions about the Jade court in the AMA, I had one other question about them. What do they feed on?

I'm debating because I'm not gonna tell you is such a great thing to say. No I'll just go ahead and tell you, they feed on breath. One of those guys can kill you from the hotel across the street and you'll never know what is happening.
Sounds pretty direct to me.

well, uriel's boss is TWG, so hhwbhs boss would be on par with that?🤔
Which is rather awkward since Harry can't really matter much at that scale.
Not on par with Uriel...forget that nonsense...could be more or less as old? He Could be the bad guys version/par of a Archangel of bad? Somebody's going to have to reword or we theorize being on par in power
Well the quote explicitly says "on a power level similar to Uriel", not really talking about age.
