But even failsafes have to be controlled, that requires judgement.  It is like the bounty hunter robot in The Mandalorian, when things got hairy it put itself in self destruct mode, and Din had to repeatedly talk it out of it, because there was another solution.  Eventually it did self destruct to save Din and Grogu and company, but under their guidance, because there was no other way.

No, the idea of the fail safe is it is not controlled. It's the "breach max security, don't provide the password in 10 seconds, the nuke goes off and "sanitizes" the area". The bad guys don't go free because they got vaporized. But so do good guys and unknowing neutrals  nearby, so it is not the most desired reply

In one sense the mantle of the Warden of the Island makes Harry more powerful than the Winter Mantle.  The Winter Mantle so far only seems to make him physically stronger, but is hard to control and as you say he has to follow Winter's rules, or he should.  Where as Warden, using the tools, the ley line and with Alfred at his disposal, he can put Titans away, something he was unable to do as a mere Winter Knight.

I think it depends on location - the Knight mantle seems to have given Harry much more ice magic. He didn't use it nearly so much before. And that goes everywhere. The Warden mantle is only good a few miles from Demonreach - he had to get the titan to the waterfront to trigger. But IN that radius, it is far more powerful. Alfred massively overwhelmed someone who trashed Mab casually. And there is apparently worse in the lower levels.  (worse than Ethniu? who is it? Balor? Surtur?)

If an already Nemfected Maeve had known a Way to the island, she could have loosed the sleepers before Harry ever became Warden or Winter Knight.

Maybe not. Maybe when there is no Warden, Alfred gets to be ACTING Warden. If the Warden must approve squashing certain invaders, Alfred cannot do it without permission. If there is no Warden, he grants HIMSELF permission, and stops Maeve.

If Cereberus is coming to Chicago then there is a Way reachable to Mouse other than Marcone’s bank, unless of course Cereberus bites through the iron bars of Hades personal vault and waits patiently for the main vault door to open.

I'd imagine there are multiple Ways from Hades. The Skin game crew may have taken a direct route, and maybe Cerberus takes a connecting one. the connecting one might be avoided by many for Nasty Things between the gates, but Cerberus might pass unmolested, either due to his power, or the other creature's fear of whose dog it is.

My thought, but beyond that there is I believe Murphy story to go than that. If he is going to bring someone back it is likely to be Chandler, but I would like Morgan.

Unlike Morgan and Murphy, we did not see Chandler killed. He's missing and presumed dead. Might be being held and tortured for info too.

Why was the WC with it being Wardenless? Because the paranoids at the Senior Council were afraid a warden might USE one or more of the prisoners. Still likely ARE. If Harry breaks - what stops him from going to Edinburgh with his new puppet Ethnui at his side? Think she can crack their wards? and she supposedly is not the biggest baddest one... recall, Naagloshi are in minimum security - what is in Supermax?

1. Murphy will return. Did Jim say this is these words? Over on reddit, someone attending the con mentioned that Jim said her story isn't over, but I imagine that doesn't have to mean, necessarily, that she'll be back in this storyline. Harry could just hear about her through someone else or something like that. Some speculate that it means she'll just be back for the Mirror Mirror story, which is not really "our" Murphy. So, I'm curious about the most accurate WOJ on this, lol (I'm too invested in Murphy probably, lol).

Or Harry time travels back to before her death. Covers it up with mind magic - or Winter Lady Molly does it. Law only applies to full humans, right?  Plus, no one will SEE Murphy, right?
