DF Spoilers / Re: Was Archer telling the truth?

I don't think she has received the coin yet.   there is a definite change in personality of Hannah between  Hannah first arriving at the wherehouse  staging area for the assault on marcone's bank vault and when Michael replaced murphy as Dresden's + 1.

harry being able to play the gutar was the seed but I still think that it was Uriel intervening that allowed this to take place. Dresden's mind was heeling and if lash had remained lash when nicodemus commanded her to stop Dresden as lashiels shadow she would f had to listen. I am convinced that Uriel played a visit to bob and intervened with bob. the act of thinking aout children and bob allowed for the interaction

DF Spoilers / bonies conception is in the book small favors
« on: September 28, 2017, 06:33:19 AM »
was reading small favors and I think I pinpointed the conception bonnie.

in Small favors Dresden  is researching the attack on him and the carpenter children. In the book  Dresden as narrator to his  story and comments on Bob and the romance novels that he reads. I believe it is  at the point that Dresden speculates on the possibility that bob would want to have a family and children that bonnie is conceived .

Jim butcher then inserts into the story Dresden finding a Calvin and hobs story book on the  basement floor.  The type of stuff that is easily dismissed by us the reader but is as important as the Angel Uriel or Bob the janitor leaving a copy of JR tokens The tail of two towers at the hospital for Dresden to find. The comic book is about a little kid and his imaginary friend hobs a tiger and some times stuffed toy.

Later on at the end of the book we discover that Dresden has come to the conclusion that Lucifer actually interfered helping  the Denarians .   I think that lashiel was suppose reassert control of Dresden but  because Lucifer had  involved himself it allowed Uriel to act upon what was going to happen.

So instead of lashiel gaining control and freezing Dresden when commanded to  by  nicodemus we have the conception of bonnie. Who is actually the mixing of spirits from Bob and lashiels shadow to  creating another spirit of intellect or possibly even a baby angel.  At the end of the book  Euriel tells Dresden while being bob the janitor that he helped Dresden  ih the fight by altering in an equal way cosmicly speaking to the help that Lucifer gave out.   He also said he took the long view of his help.  That is when he dsapears and Dresden fids an old copy of JR Tolkens “Two towers”.
It isat this point dresdens head starts to hurt as he acts as the surrogate wound for BOBs and Lashiels child.

Remember also that bob realy does not have a personalty of his own. Bob takes his personality from who ever has his skull. If Dresden had not speculated about children and family for bob. Euriel would not of been able to effect lashiels reassertion of control on Dresden by combining bobs spirit and lashiels shadow.

I think  when bob asked harry to carve him a emrgencie home it was because Bob knew about bonnie.
I think when mab nade a deal with bonnie it was to keep the natureof her existence a secret in exchange for heeping to keep harry alive.

not to much about how the child was emotionaly. most of what was said was obversations by John marcone. and  most of that was a phyisical discription.

now that I think about it when you compare that child to maggie who was probably traumitized in a lot of the same ways the child comes across as being disconected to the action going on around her.

we have no idea really who the child is.  the strangest thing about the whole story is that Justine  is the one who went to deliver a message to a Former lord.  a mission it self full of danger.  the child or the financial information that Justine stole is important enough for the Formar to violate a treaty in retrieving it.   I am guessing the event in Even hand is important to what happens in peace talks.

he was out of Justine's sight  during that time....that was the period of time when Thomas had  lived with Dresden after being kicked out the white court. during the 6th book. he had almost fatally fed of Justine .  Thomas had felt so bad about what he had done that he did not see Justine after the feeding and it is possible the pregnancy occurred at that time.

with Justine  being pregnant I thought that I would repost  this and  see if there is anything that others can say about My theory

I am wondering about key elements in the short story “Even Hand.”  In the story Justine appears at the business interest and office of John Marcone with a child and running from the Fomor.  My biggest question is who is the child and what is the significance of the child?

The child appears to be five years old.

I don't believe that Justine did any of this without a propose.  I wonder about Lara sending her on a dangerous mission.  Because if Thomas were to find out. I think that Thomas would take revenge on Lara for putting her in that situation.  Lara Raith knows this and would use someone else to do the job because of this.  This leads me to believe that Justine probably went on her own to do the mission.

Justine is Laras personnel assistant and probably knows more than any non Raith vampire about what is going on with Lara.  This is another reason why Lara would not send her on a trip to meet with the Fomor.

I am sure Justine's reason for running to John Marcone's was that everyone knows that the one soft spot in Marcone's armor is children. I think Justine ran to John Macrone's building because the only thing she really cared about was the safety of that child.  At the end of the story Marcone confiscates from her an envelope with information about the formers accounts in the mortal world.  I think that the files were meant to go to John so that he would not look further into the child.  It is easy for the mobster to assume everything is about money.

I am guessing that there is something significant about that child.   The child in the book is between 4-5 years in age “Even Hand” takes place between book 11 and 12. One year between books so I am guessing that conception of the child happened in book 6 which is when Justine gained her protection from Thomas.  It would be interesting if Maggie was not the only hidden child in the books.

I am interested in hearing any other's examination of what is going on in the short story.

I think that the internet could be what starts the disaster of the three book trilogy.....remember when something gets on the internet it is impossible  to get rid of. imagine one of the books about worship of an elder good were put on the internet.  according to how the oblivion war works the more people who know about the elder god the more powerful it is and the easier time it has showing up on are plane of existence. now imagine IVY  trying to fight an elder god that has been connected to an internet meme.

some have speculated that Jim butchers dry spell on writing the Dresden files has more to do with divorce settlements on the profits from the series. if that's the case we might be seeing a lot of his material start coming out fairly soon.

DF Spoilers / Re: Faith's importance spoilers
« on: August 19, 2017, 05:06:35 PM »
restoration of faith takes place 1 year after Dresden leaves his grandpa' s  farm and moves to Chicago. at that tine Dresden is  only 23 years old. Storm front takes place about 5 years later so Dresden is 28 years old at the start of the series. each book has been a snap shot of about 1 year in time so I am guessing faith to be in her mid 30s  and Dresden to be in his mid 40s when the series ends and Jim butcher writes  his three book trilogy to end the Dresden files.

I wonder how it will bowed for Bonnie's personality.  will ownership of her wooden skull and expectation of harriy dictate the personality. will the fact that his daughter interacts with the wooden skull help set up the personality.

I like the idea of  a 12 year old knight of the cross....remember most of the knights are temporary and only pick up the sword for  a short time for a specific purpose.

if I remember correctly harry hid the swords in plane site when he was the one keeping the swords. at one point in the books the sword was kept right by the front door along with his umbrella.

I don't know who currently is watching the one sword that does not have knight.  it would be fun if one of Maggie's  friends was visiting  and borrowed temporarily one of the swords for a task not quiet understanding what it was for.

Perhaps one of Maggie's  friends accidently touched a denerien coin and is facing the temptation of the fallen. while not having the coin it self because it is currently with a denarian the child still has the imprint of a fallen in there head helping the child to make bad decisions. and the sword is used to give back free will to the child .

I think will and Georgia Bordon's child  would be an interesting character to introduce . I would love to see a short story about Maggie baby sitting  a three or four year old Bordon child who has just found out that mom and dad are were-wolves  and having  Bonny advising her .

its been a few years since I first advertised for fairy housekeepers . I am still looking.  I just figured out some of those fairy's  don't like pizza so for the health conscience fairy I can provide celery sticks, green tea and other boring non pizza and candy food stuffs ...the big thing is I hate house work and I need a staff that works for food.
