you really cant threaten harry and have him take you serious at this point but his daughter is a different story......its like with superman cant hurt him but hurt Lois lane or jimmy Olson and you have hurry superman.....harry need people to care about so bad guys can make the mistake of trying to leverage his love of friends and family as a weakness to be exploited...this is dispite the fact that he already roasted marshmallows on the red courts funeral pier.

I have a feeling that Austin is not a throw away character. I am betting that he ends up being Harrys new apprentice. The act of letting his daughter interact with Austin is important. I also wonder about mousse interaction with Austin and mouse's interaction with harry and molly. I find it very revealing that mouse went to work at getting rid of the effects of black magic on Austin's soul . this has me wondering if mouse was the reason that harry did not fall to lashie'ls coin. did mouse aid in the repair of molly's soul so that she did not become warlock .

now I understand what Jim butcher meant when he said that mouse knew more the anyone else about what was going on. also harry need a new apprentice I think it would be cool if Austin was the apprentice it would give Maggie some one to have her first crush on and make harry a grumpy old wizard.

Bob advising harry to buy off Mab with a baby and Molly's responsibilities as the winter queen has me thinking. is it common in fae to offer up ones children to serve protecting reality when they are in trouble with the winter court.

writing a good book is hard. jim started this series over 18 years ago. I am gusing he has writing fatigue with the character along with other things in his life slowing down his creativity.....jus be patient ….

I believe that faith Astor is the girl that got Rudolph in trouble and sent him to SI.
in one of the books it is mentioned that Rudolph ended up getting his career destroyed because he was chasing after a society girl who's family was connected politically and the family did not like it. he was transferred in as a way of punishing him for the indiscretion.
if any one could expand on this please. or just shoot holes in the idea.

I think she has demon blood in her and that makes her emotionally unstable. I think that kravos knew exactly what Justine was. I also think if you want a good idea of her back story read the short Even hand. Justine rescues a little girl being held by the former. I think at one Time Justine was held in similar circumstances.

a Rudolph who is not so scared of the supernatural that he does not acknowledge its existence. instead he is more like Waldo butters and through his friendship with Mortimer and his apprentice molly has protected Chicago from the supernatural.

my favorite theory is that the Calvin and Hobs book found by harry in Small Favors belongs to a time Traveling Maggie, Mouse and Bonnie. who time traveled into Harrys basement to use Harrys replica of little Chicago. I am hoping that this will be addressed in the YA fiction series that Mr. Butcher is co-writing with his sister.
