DF Spoilers / Re: Christmas Eve from JB's Twitter (no news, just fun)
« on: December 30, 2018, 06:22:07 AM »
Lutheran here not catholic but a lot of are traditions are close to th same..Christmas night in a large church might have 3 or 4 services. Growing up as kids my parents would take us kids  to the 5 pm service because it just was a lot easier when you have little kids to go at that time because you  want them fed and in bed by 9 pm. later on  when they are older the midnight service might be fun too do . there also also could be a Christmas morning service . if Michael or charity wants father Anthony Forthill  to do the mas he you might have choose an earlier service.

DF Spoilers / Re: Skingame - why was Nicodemus hurtable?
« on: December 30, 2018, 06:01:27 AM »
it states in the book why Dresden can hurt nicodemus Dresden figured out that the noose protected nicodemus from death but he could be hurt with the noose on  … fatal stab in the chest not fatal but hurts. Dresden also realized also that the one object protecting nicodamids can be used to kill him. So Dresden after hurting him enough to slow him down grabs the noose and uses it to try and kill him by choking the life out of him.

if you  read the books since Maggie was introduced the character has always been about two years behind other kids emotionally.  The character is a child that had been severely traumatized by the red court vampires. the girl saw her foster parents and siblings being used as food by vampires who because she was just chattel to them and a eventual sacrifice was not treated will and might even had been fed upon by the same vampires that killed her family.  Traumatized children sometimes regress. I love the way Jim is treating the character because the Author  is not instantly having her be the typical  nine or ten year old the character instead the character is having to deal with the fact that she was abused extremely both physically and emotionally.

I honestly think that Jim butcher is burned out for the moment on the Dresden files.  I am sure he plans to finish the series but writing needs inspiration and he started this series when he was in college.  I figure that the more pressure the fan base puts on him the longer it will be till he gets back too writing it. The man puts out Quality work and if he is going to write that is what I want and suggest everyone give the guy space. I know it been over 4 years since the last book and I am just as frustrated but I respect the artist and part of that is realizing that for his best work we need t just wait.

DF Spoilers / Re: Juxtaposition, Who fixed LC?

yes probably it belongs to bonnie for sevral reasons.

1. Maggie was not even a character that Jim had thought about having at the time he wrote proven guilty.

2. Bob is in to romance novels so it would make sense that bonnie a younger version of Bob who at this point is a child would be into reading Calvin and hobs as opposed to a romance novel

I think a time traveling Harry with Maggie or Bonnie fixed Little Chicago.  the evidence is that harry finds a Calvin and hobs comic book in his lab and has no idea how it got there. I don't think that the author would ad this detail unless it was important. my interpretation is that who ever fixed Little Chicago left behind the comic book. I think the book belongs to Maggie or Bonnie.

Well, Dresden does have a second 'daughter' to take care of.  One wonders how does a Wizard raise a spirit child.

perhaps he needs a nanny not an aprentice

Dresden needs a new apprentice    I loved the story's about molly when she was just  kid in Harrys eyes.

I think Austin would be more appropriate for the Maggie and Mouse series if he ever does it.  I saw the video of it and he did say that if the fans like him he might be used again.

I seem to remember a threat from Mab to him if he undermined her authority publicly. I am sure that harry  as a Knight of winter would not do that because of what happen to the last knight who under cut her authority.

imagine a creature that is anchored by a  child knowledge that  is really dangerous when compared to the other monsters recorded in the book or the children discovering a ritual that to use on the child hood monsters that actually feed something worse then the monster.…..yes the stuff that molly wrote down was just the childhood fears and how to deal with theses monsters but imagine something worse being written about.

I think in the next book we will get a lot more of the old harry. there was just so much fall out from chances that it has taken harry time to find his footing....I am betting that we will be seeing a lot of harry being a dad in peace talks along with a milt down of the supernatural community.

I wonder what life was like for the IVY when it came to monsters only kids could see....imagine a oblivion story based on destroying or altering this book that the carpenters wrote,  it could be the reason that ivy actually chose to be the arbitrator for the dual in death mask. remember that Molly was 13 or 14 at the end of her child hood but still a child.
