I'm working on the final stats of Settimo. What do you think would be a good Catch for the Recovery powers? Something of Christianity due to the Roman conversion?

No.

But surviving to tell the tale, does.

We survived that.....................and were promptly captured by an Uber Ghoul that locked our friendly neighborhood Wizard, moi, in Thorn Manacles. Once we got those pesky things off, idiot left the key to them in the room with us, we high-tailed our asses out of there.

Do something awesome? GM gives you an awesome point.

Does making a legendary (yes, I rolled Legendary) Flying Assassin's Jump from the top row of seats in a coliseum and decapitating a Ghoul infront of a huge crowd of gang members and other Ghouls count as something awesome? :P

As it happens, the Ancient Sidhe Trickster from that alphabetical stunt list might be close. Tack on Demesne and there you go. Some of his stunts are overpowered, but not enough to cause trouble on an NPC.

Ah I hadn't even thought of that. I'll have to look at it and see if there's anything special needed.

Is there anything unique that you have in mind for this faerie? Any unusual events or personality traits or abilities?

Not that I can really think of. I was thinking of having him shift into the Witch-King of Angmar for the final battle.

Maybe some other spellcasting stuff or an IoP. Perhaps some mental powers too. I wrote up a Mental Library power that might be handy if you want to focus on Lore/Scholarship.

That could be of immeasurable help. considering his Sponsor, I hadn't envisioned him as much of a fighter.

So I'm working on an NPC that is a Scion of Minerva (Roman Goddess of Wisdom) and I'm trying to figure out what kind of equipment and such to give him. I know I need Marked by Power and Sponsored Magic but I'm at a loss as to what else to give him. Damn you writer's block!!

I generally have this issue and one of the best solutions I've found is to look at what the players grabbed onto and followed the most, even if I hadn't put any importance on that bit. I make note of those and then figure out how those elements can be made to have the importance the players thought they did. This forces me to come up with some overarching plots that I know the players are invested in.

Well, sadly, our group hasn't gotten to play any. We reached a Major Milestone in our Indianapolis game the last time we got together and our GM for that game had the idea to go ahead and shift to the game I've been working on so she could work more out for Indy. Unfortunelately, their work schedules changed and we haven't been able to work out a day we could get together to play.

I meant about the shady faerie.

Well I haven't been able to flesh anything out yet but I was thiking that it'll have to be some kind of Faerie Shapeshifter. I was thinking about modeling it's Demense after Mordor, witht he final confrontation between the players and the Faerie culminating at a reconstruction of Barad-dûr.

Sure. What exactly did you have in mind?

I'm not quite sure yet. I've been hitting a block everytime I try to come up with new plotlines to play out.
I do have a lighthearted, at first, mini-plot planned out. I have a neighborhood named Translyvania Beach and I was considering someting witht he Evernight LARP. Of course, a Ley Line runs right under the area.

I noticed the Ranger stats and I got all excited. Now I'm planning some LOTR tie-in stuff. Maybe something in the shadier side of Faerie?

A sprinkler system is also a great defense against wizardry in general (running water) and against being set on fire.  They're innocuous, they're everywhere, and I don't think you could call BS on a bad guy holed up in any sort of vaguely industrial building or even an apartment building having one.

Dont' forget though, Running Water also satisfies The Catch for a BCV.
