Well just of the top of my head and a verry quik look at wikipedia
Id define the theme of this kind of sponsored magic as the above. Though i would recommend cutting it down to thunder, lightning, storms, and strength, as healing is problematic in the dresdenverse, destruction is slightly redundant and i personally am not aware of any myths of thor that involve him being depicted as a god of fertility.

That gives you the basis of your rituals and channeling, which using the system farther back in this thread is 2 of the four points you get to allocate.
Personally for the other 2 i would probably choose
As the Norse god whose domain it is to protect mankind i would give his magic the same ability to bypass toughness/recovery that soulfire gets. If that doesn't sit well with you id go with +1 to the power, control and +2 complexity to all of your thunder/lightning evocations.

thanks that does hep alot sorry i took so long replying ive just been busy with school who wouldve thought pre-med would be difficult  :o :P lol

Maeve's Locket +1
   granting
 Unseelie Magic -4*
 World Walker -2
Total Cost -5*

Notes: I made this for a friend that wanted a were-(polar)bear emissary to Maeve and wanted an IoP to go along with his deal

Hunter's Spear +2
   granting
 inhuman speed -2
The Magic of The Hunt -4*
Total Cost -4*

Notes: This is an IoP from the Elrking and as for MoTH it's a form of sposered magic equal to the likes of Seelie or Unseelie magic but dealing with anything that has to do with predetors or thing in line with the Hunt

Ok so I've been seeing alot of different IoPs out there and I want to document and eventually make a Master List of IoPs so I hope everyone will feel free to add their IoPs or maybe request some for me to cook up in my spare time. I'll start putting up some of my own creations immediately.

Sure you can. It just involves playing a little fast and loose in the name of Fun.

Knowledge from Nowhere = Leap of Logic. Maybe bump your conviction so high that it warps reality a little bit to make sure you make the right call.

Power from Nowhere = Unconscious Wizardry (Harry drawing power from the area around him), Unknowing Use of Sponsored Magic (Higher power decides to root for the underdog with or without belief; Sanya and Harry both arguably qualify in their own ways), Absolute Cosmic Bugfrack Coincidence (Exactly what it says on the tin).

If you absolutely need to have White God/Whoever Else involved somehow to sleep at night, just make it a Sanya case where the believer doesn't necessarily believe in/accept the source of his/her power.

idk about the unconscious wizardry cause IIRC Bob says somewhere that faith magic and Harry's magic are differnt things entirely

DFRPG / Re: Killing in the Game
« on: January 05, 2011, 03:53:30 PM »
"Do PCs keep the violence to a minimum or do they treat mortal threats like they are orcs?"

A question like this comes from a "orcs as items" mentality. My PC's are transplants from the HARN game system, which has so much detail that you simply cann't get away with the sort of killing too many "o level monsters" the way D&D allowed.

Anyone dies in my campaign, any campaign, there are consequences. Family may come after the killers, or maybe it was done because the PC's work for the guarde and this was an outlaw. I just think that there shouldn't ever be anyone that it's somehow "okay" to kill.

All that being said, I also love the "obscure death rule" which says that if the baddie fell off a cliff or for some other reason the PC's did not get to witness the death "for sure" - well, he, she or they are probably not really dead. But he/she/they now intend to make the PC's which they were.

Um not to sound like an idiot but what's harn i mean i've gathered as much as its a game but what's so special about it

DFRPG / Can a House satisfy a catch
« on: January 05, 2011, 03:30:29 PM »
Ok so my question is if say a husband built a home for his wife and they were in true Love would that house satisfy a WCV's catch or would it just translate into a higher threshold value or maybe both.

The rope with unicorn hair was a present from lily or titania, IIRC.  And I can't remember who exactly,..... Oh that's right! :)  He used it to type up a certain somebody that was inhumanly strong and *hungry* so they could have their fun time. :)

I thought i remember him saying fix made it

Compel just to screw with them:  The homeless guy asking people for money has singled you out. As he approaches, he points at your Father's Old Army Jacket and says, "71st Infantry? Cooper? Was your father Jason Cooper?" and then plead for money.

HAHA! that would be hilarious just randomly compel them throughout the game for lulz sake
