SO. MUCH. YES.

Yeah, you definitely made the right call. The mods and betas don't really have anything to prove, and we wouldn't want fans feeling like there was something holding them back from a higher score!
Yeah, Internet Explorer.

Did it fit a possible spam profile in some way, such as being chock full of links, image links, attachments, or heavy formatting?
That sort of stuff is going to get kicked to moderation simply as a matter of course under the newer software as part of our effort to prevent spam. Hopefully the moderation engine will eventually learn that some posts don't need to be held for review.
*I tried to create a different new sticky in the WoJ section today and it says it "needs approval." Could one of the admin's approve it please, and also transfer this post to the WoJ section for stickying (or another area if it is deemed more appropriate)*
The Aquarium is in the Inner Harbor. If you're taking I-95 North, you want to get off at the I-395/ML King Blvd exit. Keep left and the exit turns into Howard Street. (Do not take MLK.) Follow it down two blocks and turn right onto Pratt Street; the convention center will be on your right. The Inner Harbor is two cities blocks down Pratt. There's two big shopping center/touristy things called Harborplace. All the restaurants are inside of that--except for Hard Rock Cafe which is across from the Aquarium.
I'm only suggesting the Inner Harbor because it's super close to the convention center, same side of the street, and the easiest place to get to. Plus comicon goers wouldn't have to move their cars. But I'm the newbie, so...
If you are going to the con, the best place to park is the Days Inn parking garage. It's right across the street from the convention center and usually has the best rates in the area: http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=08218
It's not working very well with Firefox 5.0.1 I'm only getting 2 posts per page and the second one is blacked out so I have to highlight it to read.
