Updated with SKIN GAME wallpaper links.

Most everyone here probably got word already, but during this weekend's signings, Jim is signing just one book per pass though the line.

As A rule Jim will defer to the rules of the con. That said his rule of thumb is to sign 3 books per trip through line. so if you have 6 books get 3 signed then get back in line to get the next 3 signed. Myyrdn (Garrett) is a good guide for this, he's been to quite a few of these and is a great guy to boot.

D'awww shucks. :D

I'll find out from con staff ASAP tomorrow how they want to work it, and post here.

This was sent to me in e-mail this morning ...

Jim is in Hunt Valley, Maryland, for FaerieCon this weekend! Here’s his schedule:
2:00-3:00 Workshop: Heroes and the Other Guys: Creating Protagonists and Antagonists
 Location: Tack Suite
1:00 – 1:45 Panel: Seelie and Unseelie: Choosing Sides in Faerie
Contributing Authors: Jim Butcher, Charles deLint, Melissa Marr, Sarah Zettel
 Location: Salon A
2:00-3:00 Spotlight on Jim Butcher
 Location: Garden Room
4:00-5:30 Jim Butcher Autographing
 Location: Bookstore booth
11:30 – 12:15 Panel: Faerie in the Marketplace
Contributing Authors: James Owen, Gavin Grant, Jim Butcher, Melissa Marr, Annette Curtis Klause
 Location: Salon A
12:15-1:45 Jim Butcher Autographing
 Location: Bookstore booth

This is what I got from the staff today, yep.

Q:  Will Jim be doing any signings?
A:  I would assume there will be an opportunity(ies), but they've not been put on a schedule anywhere.  If they announce anything during the convention itself, I will post here.

Q:  Fan dinner?
A:  I dunno that we'll be able to get Jim in on a dinner (maybe, we'll see what happens), but I'm looking into restaurants for a dinner group on Saturday evening.  Probably somewhere in the 6-6:30 range (don't think we'll be able to do anything with a large group, as it's incredibly last-minute, but we'll see).  Again, as soon as I know anything concrete, I will post here.

Other Things
As you've probably gathered, I will be attending the con.  If you want to hang out during the day/catch up on whatever updates/etc, look for the skinny guy in vivid green scrubs.  I'm thinking about running a one-shot DFRPG game one night if that's a thing people might be interested in.

As I said, I'll put updates in this thread as much as I can.  I'll also tweet any updates as I have them at @myyrdneopia.

I hope to see some of you all there.  Please come say "hi!"

For those wanting steampunk recommendations, I've highly enjoyed Devon Monk's AGE OF STEAM series—a mashup of steampunk, fantasy (magic and werewolves and the like), and western.  The first book is titled DEAD IRON, and it's a blast.  I've also enjoyed Chris Wooding's RETRIBUTION FALLS.

The website I review books and comics for has an "Intro to the Genre" steampunk list that you could look at for books:

I am so hyped for this, y'all have no idea.  Well, maybe Priscellie does, but she's a special case.

Damn.  Probably less than a second before I looked at the camera.  Your wife's got a freaking quick trigger finger there, mate.

Ask my husband and he will tell you:  Real men drink unsweetened Ice Tea!

What is this "unsweetened" you speak of?  It's just "plain."  One does not sweeten something and then decide, "I'ma gonna take all this here shugar outta mah drank."  ;)

But I'll probably be going with water, like as not. :D

It's not going to be the "Admit One to the Psycho Ward," is it?

..Oh, wait.  ;D

I'll be there! And hey, this year I'll actually be 21, so no worrying about them kicking me out at ten... and perhaps I'll have one of them five dollar margaritas, hmm?

Having been familiarized with Fiasco this weekend, I may run a game of the Dresden playset just put out by Evil Hat. Fiasco is fuuuuuuuuuun.
