Lot's of interesting stuff here. As for the conversation about Iron, Jim seems to have made a lot of his own nuances with this in the Dresden Files. In many cultures iron is a long standing protection against evil, spirits, and magic. In fact iron is believed to have the power to not only block magic but drain it as well. Jim seems to only take irons significance in terms of damaging the Fae, but doesn't offer explanation as to why it's other uses are null and void.

Just wrote a 600 word flash-fiction ghost story for a contest. Thing is I included a dedication to my late fiance, only after I hit send did I notice that I used the wrong to/too right smack dab at the beginning. Ouch.

My first draft is complete! I'm not sure why but it feels a bit anti-climactic, maybe it's because I already knew how I wanted it to end or maybe it's because I know that a lot more work lies ahead. Hopefully it doesn't mean that my story isn't too great.

I'd read it and probably enjoy the ending. Life isn't sun-shine and rainbows and art imitates life. I want to read about things that make me think, wonder, and maybe even scare me a little. Write the ending you want and let the readers react accordingly.

I feel for you, Cen. I'm not dyslexic so I don't really know what it's like. When I first saw your posts on here I thought you were just a young kid that didn't feel the need to try and spell words correctly (no offense, it's just that there are a lot of them out there). I think that's where the sort of resentment comes from. If someone doesn't know your dyslexic they simply assume you don't care enough to spell correctly.
