Come Valentine's Day (or April Fool's Day, six of one half a dozen of the other), I am absolutely not allowed to call up the radio station and dedicate the following songs to the lovely ladies in my life:

I know What Boys Like (Waitresses) to Lara Raith

Hungry Like The Wolf to Andi and Georgia

Do You Really Want To Hurt Me to Deirdre

Waiting For A Girl Like You to Stacy Luccio

Fire and Ice to Titania and Mab

Devil or Angel to Lash

Wild Thing (by Sam Kinnison) to Elaine

You Were Mine to Elaine

Once Bitten, Twice Shy to Susan

Eyes Without A Face to Lasciel

Hot Child In The City to Molly

She's Not You to Murphy

Hard Headed Woman to Murphy

Devil In Disguise to Lash

Always A Woman To Me to Elaine

Cold As Ice To Maeve

Oh My Papa to Lara

They're Coming To Take Me Away to Aurora

Along those same lines, on Mother's Day I am not allowed to call up the radio station and dedicate Elvis' Mean Woman Blues to the memory of my mother, the lyrics make Morgan and Langtry even more paranoid than they already are, and deep down part of me fears that the black cat line might be all too accurate too...

Also, on Ivy's 18th birthday, I am not allowed to call the radio station and dedicate the Hawaii Five-oh theme to her, even though it would probably give Kincaid a heart attack...

Actually, that's "The Devil Went Down To Georgia", as any Country-Western/Charlie Daniels Band enthusiast would know; if you call yourself a C-W/CDB enthusiast and don't know, you might as well hang your 10-gallon hat in shame. :) ;D

LOL! I am going to assume you mean "shift"
One does not simply "parkour".  One shouts it aloud as one performs the act!  PARKOUR!

Maybe.  I know that when I worked as a security guard, I would often take a shift long dump or at least it felt like it.  I also had way too many shifts that were really, well you know.

I am not allowed to play "Samurai Deli" with Fidelacchius while watching "Best of SNL".

I am not allowed to invite Eldest Gruff to supper and serve up "tin can and old boot surprise".

I am not allowed to say "Stand up!  oh...never mind" to Murphy.

I am not allowed to hum the theme song to the "A-Team" while I watch Mike work on the Blue Beetle.

I may not ask the Merlin to help me recreate John Belushi's 'Samurai Tailor'.

I may not nominate the Merlin for the British version of 'What Not to Wear'.

I may not nominate Toe-mas for Bravo's hairstylist show.

I may however nominate myself for any of a dozen home improvement shows.  Maybe I can figure out a way to get a warm shower in the middle of winter.

I am not allowed to gather my allies together and detail a plan with a cobbled-together attack vehicle and a classic pincher attack
Nor am I allowed to gloat "I love it when a plan comes together" after all the baddies are blown away

This is only because everyone is a spoilsport and they ganged up to put me in a straitjacket the last time I did it.
