Haven't checked yet, but I'd guess at least western and central europe are thawing.

Glad to hear it.
They lost a lot of people though from what I understand.
That's sad.

Hi Snow!  I'm doing good otherwise.  I had a nice dinner at an Irish pub-type restaurant tonight and went to Barnes and Noble.

Ooooh, is seriously envious of both the dinner and the visit to Barnes and Noble, Chiro.
Funny thing was I was just thinking of some British Fish and chips tonight.
We have a couple of English pubs near here.  The Buchanan Arms and the Robin Hood Pub - both have
lovely fish and chips.  They also have stores attached where you can get things like Spotted Dick pudding and Ribena.  Yumm on the Ribena - not so very sure about the pudding. ::)

Yes, somewhere between 300 and 350 people died because of the cold. :(

Spotted... Dick... pudding... I am not even going to google that.

Ouch, I'm so sorry to hear that.
Er...Spotted Dick pudding is basically a, as I read it, steamed suet pudding with raisins, currants or some sort of dried fruit.

I hate to post and run DocC and Chiro but I'm fading fast here.
You both take very good care and have a great day or evening.

How did they die from the cold?  Exposure outdoors?

I had corned beef and cabbage.  And a dessert sampler plate.

As far as I know most deaths were directly cold-related. Mostly homeless people, in some cases people who even had homes, but couldn't afford any heating. What really makes me angry, this happens every damn winter, but all that ever happens is a lot of bullshit politian talk "Yes, so sad, we'll take a look at how we can help" and that is exactly all they ever do. Take a look. Gah.
Sorry. Needed to vent that...

The idea of raisins and fruit in a pudding is... well, I don't think I could stomache something like that. ;) I like cake!

That's sad.  It should be avoidable.  :(

I've had raisins in bread pudding.

I like chocolate covered raisins. But pudding I like straight, not mixed with anything. Well, except for chocolate syrup or caramel. That I can live with. ;D

Holy crap. I could NOT sleep last night. I took a whole 25mg Antihistamine and then waited a few hours....Still didn't work...Then took a smidge of Nyquil...Waited some more...STILL didn't work. Finally got up. Heated up some milk and sat in a warm tub for 15 minutes. Next thing I knew it was almost 4 and I was finally getting to sleep. o.o It was one of those, "Omg I can't stop thinking about what I have to do this week" Kind of nights. Sheesh! :o  First world problems. Gotta love em. LOL

That being said. I'm pretty much a Zombie today. o.o

No offense, but if you start to drool while looking at my head, I'm getting the shotgun. ;) Hope you get well through your day! :)

Your avatar reminds me, I need to talk my gf into dyeing her hair red. I really want to see how she looks with red hair and I don't just want to photoshop a picture of her. ;D
