Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Government.  Was about one class away from a philosophy minor, but I really didn't want to take intro.

After several years working as a systems analyst, went back and got an MBA in Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences.  And promptly got a job in a finance group.  LOL.

Also, would love to hang out with some other fans before hand and schmooze! I'm going to be easy to spot- I'll be the tall woman with the Harry Dresden My Little Pony (complete with Bob the Skull!).

No, I'm not joking about that. :)

Okay, SOMEONE is getting pics of this, right??  Please??  I wanna see the pony!

As you come down from Breezewood, keep an eye out on the right for Hepburn Orchards Farm Market.    PIE!

Don't buy the apples, though.  I have NEVER gotten good apples from there.

They have a bot that crawls the forums as a guest.  I know that's how it works on the (very small) forum I run.  I've seen guests that when you check the IP address...it links back to Google.

Myyrdn is going to freak again.

Gonna have to ask for Monday afternoon and Tuesday Off.

Yeah....problem is that Tyson's Corner is like the 5th circle of hell.  Plus for me, the traffic to GET there is about...the 9th level of hell.  Gonna have to think on this one.

Can Firefox import your favorites and settings from IE? Is there anything Firefox has a major problem with? 'Cause I'm keeping my options open on browsers and would like input from those who know. Oh, almost forgot - is choosing not to load flash something you can change on the fly? There are a number of sites I've seen that use flash, and I'd like to be forewarned one way or the other.

Yes to the import - there's an option on the file menu.  I haven't had a problem with anything in Firefox, and it's all I use at home.  Very occasionally something won't load and I use Chrome instead, but I can't even remember for which sites.

I know you can turn Adblock off for specific sites on the fly  (just click the icon you get in the corner of the browser)...maybe not loading flash would be the same?

Calendar Event Discussion / Re: Where would YOU like Jim to appear?

I think it would be a great idea to find at least one place each year and do our best to do a JB Fan Event.  Pick a smaller Con, like MarsCon, or one of the smaller ComicCons (Baltimore anyone?) and make an effort to get everyone out to it.

If I find out that there will be another event on the East Coast, between New York and South Carolina...  I will do everything I can to make it out there !

I vote for Bawlmer, hon.   :D

Not really.  Maryland and Delaware have more in common with states above the Mason-Dixon line.  So does Northern Virginia.  Maybe Mid-Atlantic should just refer to those three.  :-D

Upstate NY bears far more resemblance to New England than to the mid-Atlantic or midwestern states. Just sayin'.

Sort of like southern Virginia is more like the South than the Mid-Atlantic?

Shoot me now. Woke up at 4 AM. And wife's delicate little snores were just enough to keep me from falling asleep. Looks like I'm going to be caffeine's bitch for the duration of the con.

Remember Williamsburg is also a college town...there are PLENTY of places to get caffeine.   And sugar.  And combinations of the two.  ;D

One word: absinthe.

You'll get that wig on him, oh yes.

Hrm....if I can remember where the hell we got that absinthe in college, I could help y'all with that.  LOL.  Trying to remember if it was the local ABC store.
