Yes, sorry. All here are suffering from the plague. Don't know what is going on with the site and really have no idea when (or if) it will get fixed.

DFRPG / Re: 2nd Annual Borden DFRPG Awards (2011)
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:35:10 PM »
Sorry, came into this late as I am hardly ever on the boards these days.
But I would also like to vote for
Game/City: Undertown/San Francisco Shaking the Foundations
GM: Mij

If I could, I'd vote Fyr's own Tory Gozen as my favorite PC. Creative and always entertaining to watch.
Though I might award Jack the "Suicide by Ghoul" nomination rather than "Most Likely to Decapitate Self." Or maybe, "Suicide by C4." or "Suicide by Sorceror." You get the picture. ;)

I would like to take a moment here to announce to everyone boardwide that Mij has graciously agreed to take over the duties of the Monarchy of Undertown.  With my parasite entombed and waiting to burst free in an Alien-esque moment joyful pregnancy and future newborn responsibilities, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.  I really appreciate Mij's willingness not only to herd us like cats as our GM, but now take over the Kingship as well.
Tnanks don't seem like enough sometimes. I am blessed.   :)
It feels like we should have some sort of official ceremony for the transfer of power or something, doesn't it?

Is that you in the corner, stage left?

 ;D  that is funny.

:D Yes, I'm the redhead in the "If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable." shirt.

That should either be what shirt Jim was wearing or what Jim's shirt read or something.  And, yes, that is what happens when I PBC. Post Before Coffee.

;D

Okay, Here's three parts of five for the Q&A...
(1) Part 1
(2) Part 2
(3) Part 3

Parts 4 & 5 got eaten when my internet dropped.  I'll get them reposted later.

(4) Part 4
(5) Part 5

Edited w/ Parts 4&5

That's really good quality, Toe-mas! It was weird watching myself text Fyrchick what Jim's shirt was wearing as he started.... :)

Anyone but us have geek-crossover tendencies? We'll be at the Maryland Renaissance Festival the third week of September and the third weekend in October we'll be doing the Zombie Run in Baltimore...

Calendar Event Discussion / Re: Signing in Boston (Cambridge), MA on 8/3
« on: August 07, 2011, 02:43:13 PM »
Conversation of B&N workers overheard by me at the DC signing as they were setting up in between two aisles of books: "how many chairs do you think we need to set up? 50? Do think there will be more than 50 people here?"
This being said as 100 people are standing outside in a torrential hailing downpour because security wouldn't let the line wrap around inside...

By "there" do you also mean joining us at the resturant too?

That's the plan! Well. What is the plan? I am assuming we will be hanging out in the store after we pick up wristbands? So, has the 5pm wristband time changed anything about the time to meet up at the restaurant?

10
What is the name of that hot dog place where they insult you? You should go there. Or, I bet Fyr would give you hot dogs and insult you, too.  ;)

11
Don't know if we ever made it on "the list" but my +1 and I will be there...

12
Oh! oh! oh!  Whomever ends up making the revervation (hopefully for Gordon B's, I really want to try the beer and since SFVJ also had the idea of pretending we're at Mac's all we need is for someone to third the motion) will you please make them under the name Harry Dresden?  Please please please?!?!!?  If no one else will, I'll do it!   ;D

I don't know about on the East coast, but here in the Bay Area GB has the best garlic fries...yum.

Congrats to Mij- GM of the Year!!
Which we already knew, of course.
Even though you try to blow our characters up.
Or get arrested.
Or turned into some kind of White Court snack.
Or killed.
And I still can't talk about the weird moaning noise from the Chinatown thing.

But after a year I STILL have no idea what will happen next and thats the coolest.

So thanks DUDE>  :-*

GMs don't kill characters, characters kill themselves. Especially ours.
:D

Congrats MIJ!

Maybe.  If I can get in some GMing practice between now and then, and if we can find a space for it.

I plan on asking the GM for the one-shot that I played at Dragon*Con last year...I feel comfortable either hosting it or having Gryph host it.  If you wanted to run another game, it looks like there are plenty of people interested in playing and plenty of spots in the mall.

Bought my plane tickets last night...ouch! Expensive to travel at the height of the summer season, now we have to decide if we're heading up to the Boston signing, too!!  :D

Well depending on how they plan on doing the line, we could just set up where ever we would have to wait anyway. Those cafe table tend to have a bit of wobble and I'm not to sure about them.  Although it would make staying caffinated easy.  Then again if we meet at a restaurant before hand, we might be able to play there.

That is what we did when we played Munchkin at the Independence signing.
