There, there. Don't look so sad. I'll reserve you a portion of the dinner I am cooking...meat bread (er, I don't know if you call it like that. It is like a roll made from minced meat, with some veggies insiide). It has a topping of parmesano cheese.

Thank you Laura. I've never read the witches novels, so I didn't know that cat.

Shecky, I know there are lots of Discworld books and I've only read a few of them :-) . So I am not expert, but I like them a lot (even when they are a little difficult for me). I've decided not to begin reading witches for a while because I don't think I could stop. And I have  other things to read. (Sigh) There are many books waiting for me.

Thanks both of you for teaching me something, but...the avatar still disturbs me.

Edited to correct some typos.

I've found the avatar a little creepy, but if the owner likes it, it is ok. IMO, He or she has a right to have it. In fact, Shecky's new avatar is far more creepy for me. I've found it very disturbing. But I wouldn't ask for removing it. Everybody is intended to have the avatar they like (unless clearly TT or not suitable for under age public)

Yes, it was fantastic!

I wonder what HIS soulgaze would look like.

Or perhaps you are thinking on Elaine (they soulgaze her first night togoether) or Susan (she deceived him to look into her eyes). I think he doesn't want to soulgaze Murphy because he is very unsecure and also because it is not polite. It is something worse than reading a personal Diary.

I actually have this saved in my machine, but he's not so much riding the shark as slaughtering it in the coolest way possible.

But he is Batman!, with a Jedi Sword! If he were more awesome, we would be blind for his shiny greatness!

Priscellie: Congratulations for the collect! You are amazing! (BTW, I couldn't find how to donate with a credit card, but I will donate on the future. Only, not too much. My sallary is not in U$S.

Priscellie, I don't know much about the fund. Can I donate by credit card from South America?

Maine and Sweden aren't that far apart.  There's just an ocean and Norway and stuff.
Yes, instead, I am reaaaaaaaally far, far away, and not many people here read DF, so chances of JB coming here are near to zero. (Unless he come as a tourist. And we have a beautiful country to welcome him. So it is possible)

well, when I see the pictures, I think the cloaks were wonderful. I imagined that some of you had decided to buy them in the same place. But I didn't guessed one of us has made them. Congratulations, Blaze!

4557
Yes, the cloaks were awesome! Who made them?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, folks, but Jim doesn't want me to post the video of the reading until Februaryish, when the text sample chapters go up for Ghost Story.  He was reading from the pre-beta draft, and he doesn't know what's going to change yet.  He doesn't want a conflicting version of the text in the public eye.

I have no doubt that some of you will manage to finagle copies from other attendees, but out of respect for Jim's wishes, I ask you not to re-post it in any public place, like YouTube, BitTorrent, your blog, your favourite LJ community, etc.  And there is to be absolutely no discussion of the material he read on the forum.  Posting of spoilers from the reading, however mundane, is forbidden.

Yay! So no spoilers!  I was thinking I would have to leave this forum until april :D. And I didn't want to, because I love you folks.

In "Grave Peril", at the party, Thomas said that Harry's godmother kiss him on the neck (and burned him). When I read it first, not knowing about Thomas-Harry relation, I found that very strange, out of the blue. Even the fact that Thomas knew that the Leanansidhe was Harry's godmother. But now I am thinking. Perhaps he made a pact with Lea to help Harry? (As Susan did).
