LOL Why am I mentioned twice? Unfortunately probably won't be making it. (I Didn't know I was on the list until now). My brother is having major surgery.   I had fun meeting with everyone in the Barnes & Noble Tyson's Signing. Wish I could have gone to the after signing hangout. I have pics in the site if anyone is interested.

 :(

Scratched you off the list.

For what it's worth, from the Bitten with Books chat:
Jim's often dodgy with answers but this seems pretty straightforward. No smiley face or anything!

Right.  If that's the case, I think that kinda torpedoes this whole thread...

And do we have any time/restaurant/meeting place suggestions for meeting up after the Con on that Saturday?  I saw P.F. Chang's mentioned.

I'm completely open, so once we decide on a place and time, I'll set up a reservation there under "Harry Dresden."

Updated the list to the latest current standing.

So, if we want to set up a semi regular meeting, what Burger King do we want to pick?  ;D

50
All right, I'm going to start a list in my first post on this thread of people who are interested, or who could conceivably be guilt tripped (*cough, cough, Myrrdn, cough, cough*) into meeting up in the general NOVA/DC/Maryland area on the weekend of the Baltimore Con.

51
For those such as Myyrdn (and myself, for that matter), who will not be attending the Comic Con, is there interest in meeting in that general area?

I figure it's not all THAT long of a drive from the DC area to Baltimore, so, as I'm not going to the Comic Con, it should be a relatively short and inexpensive trip to meet up with the folks who ARE going to the Con, and anyone else who wants to meet up there, as well.

52
So, seems to be a general consensus for meeting after the Baltimore ComiCon on that Saturday?

Not sure if I can do the Con itself, but I can surely meet afterwards.  If there are no objections/suggestions to this date, chime in and I'll edit my post on the first page to include a list of folks who want to join in.

Yeah, Tricia Helfer was who I picked as Gard in my full casting of the books.

I cast almost everyone in the books a few pages back in this thread (around page 270 or so, I think).  I've seen a lot of good suggestions since then.  Might update it with some of the new folks people have suggested.

Eh, if he's of an age to have a relationship with Molls, then so's Dresden.  If Fitz is the same age as Molly was in Proven Guilty, then she's currently 7-8 years older than him.

Don't really see anything there, but *ahem* (points at his sig), I'm not the most unbiased person out there...  ;D

55
I thought Fitz was supposed to be late teens?  Given, I didn't read his scenes with the full intensity I gave to the rest of the book, so I very well could be off on that.  If that's the case, he'd be more or less Molly's age as of Proven Guilty/White Night, not her age as of now.

Have you seen him as Hamlet?  I think he can.

In terms of acting, DT would be my pick, hands down.

He's just not physically imposing enough for me to see him as Harry, unfortunately.  If he grew 8 inches or so, he'd be a perfect match for the book description of Harry.

57
Pretty sure he means Maggie Senior (aka Harry and Thomas' mommy)...

I've seen him in Prison Break and the pretty terrible last season of Heroes.  He can play a malevolent character pretty darn well!

59
So, how about a get together in the NOVA area in late August or sometime in September?  Just throwing out arbitrary dates, but I'd be happy to make a reservation somewhere...  :)

Ooh, how about Robert Knepper as Nicodemus?
