Yup!  Jim is generally happy to sign whatever you put in front of him, within reason. :D
Umm, has a Fan-girl (or boy) asked Jim to do such a thing?

Jim is living out the John Lydgate's quote in spades.
Huh? quote would be good

Jim will be at ConDFW next month.  And Jim has held signings in Houston the last few years, IIRC.  Texas gets its share of love. :D
Never Virginia or even Baltimore, what is up with that?  I would even drive to New York!

I wonder how much tickets to Chicago cost. Probably close to thousand euros, but...
less than that, oddly enough, it's cheaper to go from dublin than is is from Heathrow

Um... really... no. You don't want to go to Undertown in the winter... or spring... or hell, ANYTIME!

It really does exist and it really is where the homeless people live. They can get quite territorial, I hear.
it is very dirty, and smells real bad, stay away

If you're looking for Wrigley Field to be surrounded by 'acres and acres of asphalt' (presumably for parking) you'll be out of luck.  :)
Lord, don't I wish it was true

DC was awesome!  I got to chill with friends I rarely get to see, including my super-awesome college roommate.  I also got to grab dinner with Chad, one of the big brains behind the RPG, who I was meeting in person the first time.  Saturday, a friend and I went to the Asian Festival, where we picked up some nifty culture, some delicious food, and some adorable dresses and necklaces for ridiculously low prices!  Win!
Oddly enough, I was at that festival as well.  The silk road exibit was better.

Actually, it was just convenient timing on this particular occasion.  I'm on a bus from D.C. back to NY, and it's equipped with free wireless internet!  I've been logging on every hour or so to alleviate the boredom, and here I am!
what were you doing in dc?

I agree with Wolfhowls, I think your attitude of concern about offending and the respectful treatment of another relegion is a fine starting point to learn and guide others in your story to do that same.  If that was in the story to boot, you would have my nickel. :)

Julian, from the tales of Jim Butcher, you just got to fake it untill you make it.  What you have started isn't bad at all.  Milking takes work, and sometimes its sour.  Write like mad and you will hit your stride.  the worst that can happen is that it will give you a good jumping off point for your future works

How I got started on this train of thought that kicked off this thread was a thought.  What if Bob gave Molly training?  Knowing what we know about Bob is goes in to speculation, if we stay true to the universe as we know it, Harry would feel it was "hammer time" after any interlude that I would of descibed.  I would not want Bob's skull broken open like a pinata, even in my imagination.  Any aside like that would change the flow of the story.  if there were some fanfic about what Harry Potter wedding was like, thats o.k.  That story is as done as it is ever to get and I like to muse about what could of happened.  It's sort of like those books by Turtledove, one twist.  I think those are ok as long as you note all the differnces that the twist makes.
