Put me plus 2 others down as maybe.  Mutable figure, though—it all depends on how many people want to share a room with me, and then want to come see the Burger King hisself.  Probably 3-5 people, myself included.  If that be all right.

It'll be good to finally meet ya!

Everyone that reads Dresden Files would probably like True Blood, it's got vamps (not the sparkly kind), and shifters, werewolves, etc. Great show IMO, it's better than the Dresden Files TV show.

*albeit I never read the Sookie Stackhouse novels, and I read Dresden Files way before seeing the TV show.

Also, one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels makes an oblique reference to Harry, I believe

Sure, except Mia Wasikowska is 20 years old and Ivy is 7, and I realize you said second half of series, but it's still not a logical choice considering the huge age difference.

Ivy is roughly twelve by Small Favors, she is introduced as being 7

For some reason, I see Mia Wasikowska as what Ivy would look like in the second half of the series.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find a place where we can do under $25 a head, including the space.  I'm thinking my ideal place has no cover, and folks can just order whatever they want off the menu.

I wonder if the Irish Rogue or Bullmoose Saloon would be more reasonable...

Bullmoose, reasonable prices, and they're already acclimated to dealing with Geeks.

I shall inquire!

Edit:  Left a message with their private event planning folks.  Hopefully they'll call back in the morning.  Otherwise, I'll try again.

If not, I can talk to my mom. She arranged meetings for her company at the 51st and 6th building (she worked ten floors above em). She should (nothing is a guarantee, especially with my family) still know who to get in touch with there.

DFRPG / Re: Question regarding Sidhe and Fae
« on: June 23, 2010, 05:27:54 AM »
The Fae are not normally allowed to (or capable of) killing mortals or utilizing most of their more blatant abilities, but if you owe them, then they can do whatever they please until you pay them back. This is the root of, say, Mab's ability to make Harry shove a letter opener through his hand.

And no, you don't need to know they're Fae for it to work that way.

Let's be specific: The Sidhe. The Sidhe Lords, the beautiful Nigh-Human looking Fae, run on this principle of Exchange. Mab, Lea, Maeve, Titania, they all run on this principle. Auroura offers Harry food, and essentially says that there is no strings attached. Since they can't directly lie, there is no danger in it. So while it doesn't necessarily always denote a debt, it's more or less the norm.

I will already be there with a certain bunch of nerds from some other franchise.

I will be there.

So whose line is "MEEP MEEP!"?

Thomas

Thank you Priscellie, for pormoting my hypothesis from 'stupid carp Duck says' to 'neurovore level conspiracy'.

 ;D

We've finally gauged that level? That sorta frightens me

*brain bubbles out of ears*

I do believe our job is done here, Fred. Now I figure she's got 10 more minutes until she reboots and Eyebrows the general area on reflex

Ok, I found one that may be interesting, but Stepehn Farrelly, a WWE wrestler, would make a decent Hendricks:

Nooooo, that wasn't meant to come off as insulting!  I was teasing.  And when I go into mapquee mode, I tend to make people's eyes glaze over a bit.  I don't expect you to recall every last detail of my madness. :D

Well, there was probably food involved, that's what most likely got me. Brain don't work too good with food, especially good food.
