Does it have to be a quote? Or would you be open to suggestions such as:
(front) The first rule of fairy maid service is you do not talk about fairy maid service.
(back) The Dresden Files. Good clean fun.
I'm rather partial to "Polka will never die!" myself. And speaking of Todd's McAnally's idea, I seem to recall someone suggesting "McAnally's Tavern: Where Everyone Knows Your Name (But Conjure By It At Their Own Risk)." Or maybe that was my spin on another's idea. Alas, only 22 and the memory's already starting to go!
And Fred, if you want the "SplatterCon!!!" logo I designed for the Molly costume, let me know!

You know my address. :)
Other than the SplatterCon!!! graphic, would there be options for other graphic designs? *visions of monkeys and pyrotechnic poo fill the mind*
I think the Blue Beetle would make an awesome graphic design, possibly accompanied by some sort of witty comment that I'm entirely incapable of thinking of on the spot.
"Sarcasm- Just one more service Bob offers"I personally like the second- and third-to-last the most. Of course, I'm a religious studies major, and I failed latin last year, so go figure.
Or the grand old
"I don't believe in faeries!"
Or
"Holy vigilanties, Batman"
Or
"Stupid Latin correspondence course"
Or
"Easter has been cancelled. They found the body"
Or...
*gets dragged off so others can have a turn*
Oh goodie. Another excuse to reread the Dresdens in a search for shirts.

...
Although someone might be turned off by the thought of something "icky" and not read the books at all.
Fred, check with Jim's agent if you haven't already...I tried to do this back when we were a mailing list, and she asked me not to, due to legal fuzziness when it came to the TV show. (even for just the list, at cost)
Given your permissions with the game, and the show almost wrapping up the season, I sincerely hope you can do it. ;)
If you add a men's long sleeve shirt to the options, I'm buying one!
that SPLATTERCON!!! shirt is rad!
did i see a pic of Priscillie wearing it at the New York Comicon?
just to confirm, some portion of my purchase price goes to the upkeep and maintenance of the web site & forum?
So, I'm thinking the website should add a couple t-shirts to its list of cafe press gear, and I'm thinking the best way to do that (as it imposes no art-need) is to zero in on maybe two or three quotes from the books. What about a shirt with a small nametag on the upper left-hand side?
...
Thoughts?
Many of the Tshirts described in the books are real.I wish that I had known that. I almost went mad pulling an all-nighter trying to make the "Easter's cancelled" graphic for the t-shirt for my costume back in February.
What about a shirt with a small nametag on the upper left-hand side?
"HELLO: MY NAME IS" in block lettering.
"an innocent bystander" in handwriting, appropriately placed.
Harry's Nametag (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/Mack_25/Splatterconnametag1.jpg)..does anyone with a Cafe' Press store want to set those up?
Rawlins' Nametag (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/Mack_25/Splatterconnametag2.jpg)
I used Priscellie's SplatterCon logo, hope that's alright. :-\
Yep. About $5 per item sold goes to me, to help pay for my efforts to keep the site running, any hosting costs, yadda, yadda. I do this all for "free", so the main way I build up a little cash to cover the expense is by cafe press, amazon referral, and other such programs. Buying Jim's books and audio books by clicking through from the website store is also a way to support the site, in other words. :)

Here's the first of two new T-shirt designs.

Not a good idea unless you're me. Cafe Press stomped down HARD on my stores until I got Jim to write them and explain how I was doing so with his express permission. :)After what happened to all of the Firefly/Serenity fanstores, I am not surprised.

Also, Fred is the only person I've given permission to use the SplatterCon!!! logo I designed. No derivative works, please. :D
Wow, Fred. Do you want my McAnally's design? I'd like to learn the secret handsign! ;DMaybe? (http://drwho.virtadpt.net/pictures/h2k4/drwho-posing-2.jpg)

Here's one:

Because calling it a "Plant Monster" sounds silly.
:o :o :o :o :o
Ummmm..... oops.
I didn't put it on a shirt or anything, just the badge.... ummm..... sorry.
If it includes an image of shrub, I'm all for it.
Where's Eddie Izzard when you need him?
He's off Drag Racing (http://www.comics.com/comics/getfuzzy/archive/getfuzzy-20070405.html).

"Fungus Demons ate my homework"Why didn't we have that ready as a quote when I was at school? (Either as a teacher or a pupil?)
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face."
My girlfriend really wants the thong that says "Inspected by Bob."
Personally, I want an oversized women's shirt, because it's assumed (by the clothing industry) that guys don't need v-collars.
I have an extremely thick neck to go with my obnoxiously huge shoulders, so round collar necks always choke me. Problem is, I have no idea whatsoever what size I'd wear in a women's.
Where's Eddie Izzard when you need him?
The Splattercon!!! t shirts look nice, but in my humble opinion just red dripping letters on a black background would have looked mo' better. :P
besides, it's got a splatter on it.
Are shirt quote suggestions limited to the books?
I don't have rights to the intellectual property of the TV show, so effectively, yes.
Ooh, looks fabulous in reality! My baby's all grown up and savin' China. :D
I hope other fans will post pictures of themselves in Dresden gear!
I think it needs to be pictures of people, wearing Dresden Gear, in prominent public places (Statue of Liberty, Great Wall of China, etc), or on Television (like in the background of the Today Show).
My baby's all grown up and savin' ChinaOne of my favorite all time lines, Priscellie. Love that dragon!
No idea, Sayessa. Cafe Press is what runs the store, I just provide designs. Sorry. :(
SoulCatcher78--you HAVE to get a pic of you in a Dresden shirt at the city limit sign! (If you have one--shirt or city sign!)

SoulCatcher78- Google works wonders. See what I found!

Wasn't there also a Dresden in Germany?
and some of it's still there!
<--(not actually funny WWII reference...)
Heh. I *would* like to get a mcanally's pub design thrown together, but I'm not clear on where I wanna go with that.
I'm not real big on the Splatter design or the movie one for t-shirts- I'd really really
like a pub one!! Could you please add Big Mama's design to the store??? Especially in a women's type t-shirt..
Send your design over to evilhat AT gmail DOT com, BigMama, and I'll take a look. I've got a few possible directions to go with this as well.
(One thought: McAnally's -- Where Everybody Knows Your True Name)
Ha! I can top it..."The city was on fire and it wasn't my fault".*snicker*
(One thought: McAnally's -- Where Everybody Knows Your True Name)I very much like that shirt idea.
at the beginning of this thread, Priscellie suggested "McAnally's Tavern: Where Everyone Knows Your Name (But Conjure By It At Their Own Risk)."
(Although I think it is is a Pub, rather than a Tavern...)
Ha! I can top it..."The city was on fire and it wasn't my fault".
OK, maybe that was digging deeper rather than a topper.
Uh, it's funny until you consider that 25-30 thousand people were killed in two days?
Yup! It's a bit wordy for a t-shirt, but it makes me giggle incessantly whenever I think about it. :D
2x or 3x.
I lost weight and gained a shirt size. Silly shoulders.
I hate to be a wet blanket, but I was slightly offended by the Easter shirt. Offended isn't always bad, though.I wasn't offended, hey it took them 2000 years to find it, and after that time gap it might have been the original owner of the tomb's body anyway. Presumably he did eventually use it for it's original purpose? ;)
Anyway, I thought a good shirt design would be to have a wind up duck on the front and on the back have a saying about the duck being able to find things or whatever.
Edit: I'd also like to have a shirt (despite getting annoyed by its constant use in book 2 and 3) that says "Hell's Bells" on it.
Anyway, I thought a good shirt design would be to have a wind up duck on the front and on the back have a saying about the duck being able to find things or whatever.
how about "Trust the duck."
That sucks man, but I don't understand what that has to do with anything...
That's what I thought, but I don't remember Donald ever being windup.
The Dresden Fileson the back, as I can't see any for sale and certainly not in England, do you think Jim would sue? I guess there's more chance of that happening if he reads this, but he'd still have to find me to sue me :D.
Guys.
Both of you.
Grow the fuck up.
Now.
Dear Shopkeeper,
Over this past weekend we experienced a redundant system failure that resulted in the corruption of a number of images, deeming many unprintable. Essentially, this means that an image server and its backup both failed, and Shopkeeper images were potentially damaged.
Unfortunately, one or more of your images are affected. We are currently working to restore images, and in the meantime you’ll notice that some of your designs show as pended* in your media basket, and are not salable within your stores or in the Marketplace.
Over the next few days we will be removing the pending* status from images as they’re fixed. Our goal is to restore as many as possible, and we anticipate knowing the full results of our work later in the week. We will send a follow-up email to report our status at that time.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Sincerely,
CafePress
I also have a shirt that has "Remember the Seven Laws:" and then a listing of the laws. It came out neat also.

Sigh.
I believe this means all the recent designs are currently out of commission.
If someone notices that they're back up -- or if a week passes and they're not back -- please post here so I can remember to go bust some heads.
Woo! My girlfriend now has a LIMMITED EDITION Inspected by Bob thong!
This isn't even a shirt idea really, but this post and a recent comment I heard made on Easter about it being "the day God raised to cadburry bunny from the dead."
I'm sure this would be misunderstood but I've thought of a tattoo of Jesus in an EasterBunny suit (head off and laying on the ground) cruciufed with a banner that says "In Cadbury we trust."
I mean this not in any sacrilidgeous way. Just my statement about what Easter is supposed ot be about, and what it's become about.
Glares at eviladam, but I did smile too.
I think you meant sacrilegious, unless that's another word spelt differently in the US. ;D
Not to mention the real sacrilege, you mean Cadburys, unless the first spelling was a joke.
I can take jokes about my God, having seen us humans I reckon He must have a sense of humour Himself ;D, but to spell Cadbury's incorrectly. :o

I had a custom t-shirt made for myself and my brother as a Christmas present, they turned out rather well if I do say so myself. If I had a digital camera, I'd take a picture of myself in it, but I don't so I can't :(

I wore my Splatter Con!!! shirt to work today... one of the guys I work with said, "Where is THAT held? Can I go this year, too?"
*laughs* That's awesome! Mwaha, Jim, Fred, and I have created a monster. Mostly Jim. :D
Any chance you'll post a picture of yourself showing off your new J-B.com gear?
And I think a Charity-themed shirt might be fun. What do you think? Any ideas?
My vote goes with "... just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face." on the front, with The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher on the back.
Also, can we get hats and buttons made available as well, pretty please?
Buttons are already available at Wizards Harry (http://www.wizardsharry.com/shoppe.html), Jim's sister's site. I have a button with the quote you mentioned on my purse!
Though I know CafePress does buttons, and I would absolutely love a SplatterCon!!! button...
I recently decided that I want a shirt that says something to the effects of "Warning: Black Magic can result in death by poultry" or "Black Court Vampires Weakness: Sunlight, religious symbols, falling poultry."
I have a new one
On the front: "Love killed the dinosaurs."
Back: "Harry Dresden brings them back."
So, is there some place to buy these or is it still me and my iron-ons?
*briefly mourns the loss of a nonexistent "The bag is devoid of cats" shirt*
I'm better now. :)
i like the inspected by bob ones but i'd rather it have it as a camisol with "inspected by bob" in the front and the skull in the back. in something bigger than a size 12. they dont fit in a 12 :'(
i thought one of those cloth carry bags with "devoid of cats" printed on it would be cute.

"My little voice is some kind of psycho."
I'm looking for a little clarification here. If we enter CafePress or Amazon.com from the Jim Store, does the site get referral profits from anything we buy on those sites or just the items we click on to move there?
I.e., if I pass thru to Amazon and buy WN, then a set of Botanic Garden dishes, will the site get referral profits for both items?
Same on CafePress, if I buy a Splattercon T and then a custom mug or T, will the site get referral profits for both items?

Though I know CafePress does buttons, and I would absolutely love a SplatterCon!!! button...
All above-the-cost-of-producing-the-item royalties from the site-affiliated CafePress store sales go to support the site.
Clicking through from the jim-butcher.com store on any amazon link means that referral credit goes to the site's amazon associate account, which I use to support the site.
It should, if I understand how it works, yes.
Not if the custom mug or T is from a non site-affiliated store... if I understand how it works. :)
Fred
Fred - Just because I'm a continuous pain the tush on this - did you get to see Big Mama's "McAnallys Pub" design after the crash or whatever they had on cafe press?
I'm lookin' good in my Splatter Con T!
care to add any photo-licious goodness? (sorry, my fark is showing.)
hah! I'm also looking fat in my Splatter Con T.
I came across a couple from Proven Guilty sofar that I want:
Helltart
and
Come on! Bring on the doom, already!
1. Front - "Tonight you will be visited by three spirits, the ghosts of indictment past, present, and future." Back - "They will teach you the true meaning of 'you are still a scumbag criminal.'"
How about something that ties to McAnally's?
"McAnally's Pub - Best Beer, Steak Sandwiches, & Lemonade in Chicago. Neutral Ground Since 1974" (I'm guessing the year)
I have a very good friend in Cleveland who has a fairy maid.
He's very nice to her children, too.
I found one
I voted for bush and all i got was this free t-shirt
(as for your question i have no clue)
I really like the whole faerie maid service idea. I would buy one of those. Definitely.
I also like the opening from Death Masks:
Front: Some thing's judst aren't meant to go together. Things like oil and water. Orange juice and toothpaste. Wizards and television.
Back: The Dresden Files.
Hell's Bells, I forgot about the tv show being cancelled. The irony. Sorry about your friend. Never should have talked about the faerie service.
I swear, I'm going to get a jacket with that embroidered on it.... heheh
I'm quite surprised that Harry hasn't made mentioned about the 'other' Harry. I wonder what his thoughts on the book/character would be. He'd probabaly call him a poser. *Raises fist* "Represent."
k 1st time posting and now about half way through small favor but this is a shirt for someone who resembles Murphey. Tiny on the front But Fierce on the back
I like this one very much like the white council
"The White Council. Love, respect, and magic-cutting head-chopping swords."
I love 'em! I think my favorite is the Za Lord's Guard. Unfortunately, I'm not up for any new purchases at this time, darn it.
Just one quick, admittedly nitpicky, comment. There should be a comma in the phrase, "Blood does not stain the Warden's cloak")
Just one nitpicky comment in return--it's an apostrophe, not a comma. :D
, <--comma. ' <--apostrophe.
That ends our punctuation lesson for today. ;D
As a five nothing, blonde, blue-eyed girl of Irish heritage, I am pretty partial to the "Tiny, but fierce" shirt;)
All hail the Leprachaun contingent! ;)
I would if I could see any Leprechauns... oh, there you are. Waaay down there. ;)
(*t00t-t00t distracts Sayessa while Tribblechomper inserts matches in Sayessa's pirate boots and lights them*)
Short Irish girls totally rock...
This, from a short Irish male.
Short girls in general rock. ;)short in comaprison to who? Dresden? everyone's short by comparison
Short girls in general rock. ;)
hahaha ;D that's awesome. can you do more songs?
"My rod, my staff, they comfort me."
*snort* That's a priceless one, there, folks. Too bad it seems a male-specific shirt....girls would get some freaky looks wearing that one out on the town. That's funny! I have not thought of it like that. For the past few weeks I've been thinking about the "rod and staff" line because it is mentioned in the Bible (Psalms I think), and it's odd that Harry avoids anything "godlike, goddish" etc. as he mentioned in Small Favor.
drat.
Still perfect, though!
Apparently, I'm off my game. Sorry. :-[quite oh well
Forgive me? I promise to do better next time!weeeeeeeeellll ok ;) i needs to think of more, although there was something about flameing monkey poop if someone can remeber/find it...

What about a Lasciel reference? If I was any kind of an artist, I'd try and create the coin graphic, and put "How may I serve you, my host?" or something on it, for myself. :)or something about the hot tub
or something about the hot tubOne of the best ones is "If I wished to kill you, my host, your blood would be seeping from your broken corpse and mixing with the rain on the sidewalk"
One of the best ones is "If I wished to kill you, my host, your blood would be seeping from your broken corpse and mixing with the rain on the sidewalk"definately
But that's a little over the top for a tshirt.

Umm.. I was wondering if there would be any chance of posters of the paintings on the book covers i would love a poster of the cover of blood rites
I find it hard to believe that I am the only one that would want one that says:
Wouldst thou like jelly within thine donut?
Uhmmm, ok, so I wandered over to this thread because I didn't know shirts were available and I was thinking that might be a fun gift to get a friend who is a fan. I will probably buy them one of the "Movie of my life" shirts, so thanks!
But, hah, dangit I can't stop laughing at this -- http://www.cafepress.com/jimbutcher.337060526 (http://www.cafepress.com/jimbutcher.337060526). You guys crack me up with that, that's awesome.
Nice selection on the site for sure ;D. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more quotes, but then I could see it being too many. Haha, that is awesome.
Heh heh heh ... I know Persephone a little better than you, Orange. I'd lay odds she'd try it! :D
REALLY want one that has
"Murphyonic Field Generator" on the front
and "KEEP BACK 500 feet" on the back
how abbout something simple
FOZARE
Do we have, "Be vewy vewy quiet. We're going vampire hunting." yet? ;)
find it hard to believe that I am the only one that would want one that says:

Thinking on the "Go team Dresden!" idea...Okay, a little late to the game, but I vote for this one.
I'd like to see that, with "Dresden" crossed out, and "Murphy" scrawled in above or below.
i thought that one was hilarious!
What about:
"Dost thow wish jelly on thy donut?"
sorry if it is already up, and if anything is spelled wrong...
Actually, this one has already been designed... a version of it anyway. Aine did a cool drawing and made it into a shirt design that Priscellie is adding to the Forum Store. Keep your eye out. Its very cool... ;)
This is what I made for my boyfriend. If you guys like it, feel free to put it as an option in the store :) click on it to see a larger image ;)

So here's my cafepress wishlist... the fairymaid logo on an apron! An apron with pockets.
I'm new...seemed like a good place to post this.

I want a nightshirt or pajamas that say "Sleep is god. Go worship."

The business card thing -- that's been done.
But ones at the top of my head include:
"I the hell am Harry!"
(and)
"The building was on fire
and it wasn't my fault."
(Jim's favorite opening line)
Thoughts?
There are a couple (one? Two? I dunno) in the store (through Cafe Press) that were designed by one of the posters here. Aine, actually. Other than that, I don't know.
I would wear this!(click to show/hide)

Heather, that reminds me of an old gif icon I have that looks like a Windows 3.0 status bar loading and says...
Attempting to Give a Damn.
Process failed...
Damn not given.
It's really cute when you see it working.

Do we have this available to post on our profile?Iv already snagged it for my own nefarious uses ;D
If not, can it be arranged?
Front: A WIZARD NAMED HARRY.....
Back: DRESDEN
I would wear that. :)
I personally think it would be kind of cool to have recreations of the shirts Harry wears in the books.
You mean covered in blood and gore?
Of course i would love to have denarian all over my shirt
How about a graphic with a knight of the cross on it or just the swords and the names of them.
Okay here me out. Three knights standing in the middle with blood sweat and dirt all over them. All sorts of monsters are surrounding them. They just stand there with glowing swords and a righteous fury.I would love this.
I would love this.
I read the whole thread at one time or another I think, but I may have still missed it... what about some kind of demon monkey illustration with a caption that reads, "I fling flaming poo" ?
They need a picture of a burning building with harry going "Did I do that?"
Front: Billy and the Alphas, not a band....That's one I would wear, too. :)
Back: A PACK
Darn - wish I'd found this thread sooner! One of my faves:
"I'm tired of feeling like Han Solo in a world full of Jedi. I'm supposed to be the Jedi!"
How about putting some of the quotes on bummer stickers? I have a good one for it: My other form of transportion is a T-Rex.
"My other form of transportation is a zombie T-Rex!"
They need a picture of a burning building with harry going "Did I do that?"
"MyHow about this instead?carride can eat your Honor Student."
"My other form of transportation is a zombie T-Rex!"
"I was going to put the dinosaur back..."
I really like the fairy maid service one.
I'm also pretty fond of this Michael quote...
"Don't yadda yadda the Lord, Harry. It's disrespectful"
Possibly the greatest Knight of the cross line until... "So Mab you hit that"...
Not sure whether it has great T-shirt promise though.
I submitted this design to ThinkGeek in the hopes of getting it made, but if they don't come through I might just have a few printed myself:

Dude, this design is AWESOME. I'm passing it along to Fred. Maybe we can get it added to the site store.
Squeeeeeee!!!! I have the original without the watermark if he says yes :D
I like to peruse shirt.woot, to see what they come up with. One of theirs I thought would be great with a caption, maybe a quote about Sue.

Front: Billy and the Alphas, not a band....There could be a picture of a wolf underneath, sitting there or pacing or something.
Back: A PACK
On the front have them in human form and in their wolf form on the back.i like that idea
When will we get to see some of these ideas in the Store? I've seen a lot of great ideas here that met with very positive feedback, but I haven't seen anything new available.
Fred and I have been a bit buried in work lately, so we haven't had time to add them. We have two fabulous designs ready to be added, created by our lovely and talented forumites! We look forward to making them available.
*Checks bank account*
I have money! Waiting eagerly with money clutched in my grubby forumite fist...
I want a bumper sticker:
"My other car is the BLUE BEETLE." ;D
I'd love to see a lot of these quotes on shirts. I wish I could find a place around here that prints off stuff for shirts since I'm a bigger guy and I'd totally love to wear a Dresden Shirt.
how bout "I answer the thrice and done. Bite. Me."
"So that would make me right, and YOU_____"
and if you're going to do SPLATTERCON!!! shirts we need one with Harry's name tag "an innovcent victim" and one with Rawlins "an authority figure"
and this isn't a qoute but what about "I got bitten at Biancas" ?
"Every one else who lets me ride their dinosaur calls me "
Same here. I have some T-shirt transfers and am going to try making my own, but I am even having a hard time finding plain old cotton T-shirts (or 50/50 cotton/polyester) in my size. I believe you can use vinyl letters from a company called Cricut, but you have to have a special machine.
I could possibly make you a shirt if mine comes out successfully. Would you be interested?
I'd love to see a lot of these quotes on shirts. I wish I could find a place around here that prints off stuff for shirts since I'm a bigger guy and I'd totally love to wear a Dresden Shirt. Also, I know I'm a bit juvenile, but are there any talks in toys? because my transformers Darth Vader, Vash the Stampede, and Sephiroth figures wouldn't mind having certain Wizard standing next to them above my T.V.
Accordingly JB says you can make one or two shirts for yourself but not a lot for sale. At least I think that's the way it is. You probably should doublecheck with one of the mods they would know better.
Oh, that's good to know! Now I have to decide on pictures or quotes ... or maybe both.
Yup! Of course, the version I wore to the con is slightly different from the version available in the store. In the store version, the "SplatterCon!!!" text is a different color from the shirt itself (making it more legible at a distance--good call, Fred), and it also has the fun "Property of Jim Butcher" text on the back. Also, the store version is a lot more washer-safe than mine, as I hand-painted it using a homemade stencil. :D
For Daoine: I wasn't happy with the images of me in my costume at the Con, so here's one I took in my dorm, out of makeup:

Thanks guys for whoring me out! *SO EXCITED*
Will we ever get to see this? I'm checking daily...
Will keep checking then!
Got myself a cool dalek union jack by doing so, big thanks GPG! ;D
My son ordered that shirt too. Did yours arrive yet?
Wheels are in motion for the Blue Beetle and Jurassic Dresden shirts!
Oh, that's great!!! Are they going to be on RiptApparel or TeeFury? Or the official Store here?
I haven't seen the artwork for the Blue Beetle (I think). Could you post it here, or point me to the link?
Official store here, via CafePress.

That's great! I would definitely like one if I can get it in a big enough size.

What size do you wear?
Got to include two of the classics:
"Polka will never die!"
"In the name of the pizza lord, CHARGE!"
Does it have to be a quote? Or would you be open to suggestions such as:
(front) The first rule of fairy maid service is you do not talk about fairy maid service.
(back) The Dresden Files. Good clean fun.

How about........."Wizardry, not just a job, an adventure, escaping from giant monkeys hurling incendiary poo."

I'm currently trying to design two bumper stickers that I want to put on my vehicle. Unfortunately designing isn't my strongest skill- so I'm hoping to get some advice.
The main one I want will simply read "What Would Dresden Do?"
Vague, yes, but that's kind of the point. I would like to underline this with a wizard staff, which I am finding impossible to design, and probably throw in a few other interesting designs with it.
The other would simply read "Hell's Bell's, Murphy!" This one I have a couple of scorpions approaching the lettering, and I would like some archaic symbolism around it.
I'm not looking to submit these, or make any money of course, so if anybody has some suggestions or ideas it would be appreciated. I'm good with Photoshop, but terrible at drawing things by hand.
--anyone remember the quote where Murphy asks Dresden what happened to him. He tells her flat and she saids "you re not joking are you?"The one I remember where she said that was when she asked him where he got some information and he said "a magic faerie told me."

Have thought trying this on the other 1-day t-shirt sites like QWERTEE, Shirt Punch or Teefury
Ok so it seems like I'm late to the party, but i had one i was thinking about doing. With the scene with Ursiel in the alley, with the caption "that's the last time I ask a stranger for change..."s *snickers*
Or one with Nic in a suit that says "Ask me about our currency exchange program"

Only if I don't see pictures. Finally got around to painting it. I'll post a pic here if I can get my phone to take a decent pic. (The color isn't working at all - it's almost like a negative or something!)
I'd be honoured. :)

Well done. :D
Even so, that is a beautiful thing. :)
Awesome shirt!

ETA: OK, tried again with the pictures this morning. Same shirt, front and back pics taken in the same location, same lighting, within a minute of each other. The colors of the back are accurate, the colors of the front are clearly not. But here it is (slightly out of focus). The snow flake on the front is silver, as are all the little flecks on front and back, the lettering is baby blue. No idea what the deal is with my phone/camera.
ETA again: Got a little bit better pic of the front - but still not close to the actual color of the shirt. I have no idea what the deal is why the front looks like a different color than the back in the pictures. :/

I think something like this would be cool. What slogans could Mac have?
Ideas
- "Serve yourself... the best."
- "Come to an Accord... with your tastebuds."
- "Hell is Empty... and All the Devils are Here." - Shakespeare
(http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/q507/wizardpi/Products/MacsShirt01_zpsba17a64a.png)
What did Harry call Mac? A Master Brewmancer?Yeah, that'd be a good one. I can see Mac grudgingly wearing the shirt if Harry had it made.
Here's another random design I came up with a few months back but forgot to post. At least, I think I did and didn't.
I thought it might make a good t-shirt. It'd probably need to be the same tan as the background, or maybe black or white.
Griffyn612,Sure thing. It came across my Facebook feed, of all things. Apparently liking JB on FB was enough for it to market it to me. First time that's ever worked.
Thank you! I just ordered one when I got the e-mail about this message. I was hoping that there would also be some more Chris McGrath (http://www.christianmcgrath.com/) covers on the Cafe Press (http://www.cafepress.com/cafepressshop50) shop. I have the White Night (still there) and Side Jobs (gone) tee shirts.;) 8) ;)
So, there's nothing wrong licensing-wise with this sort of thing? I'm glad, because I found the Teespring shirt independently (http://teespring.com/macsbrownbottle (http://teespring.com/macsbrownbottle)), ordered one, and then saw someone else wearing one at our local RenFest last weekend! (In fact, I just joined the forums so that I could look to see if I should be sending his agent five bucks or something. :) )

AndiSue,
The only thing wrong with the shirt in that link (and some others that I have seen) is that only current fans of The Dresden Files would have any idea what it represents. To me, it looks like some low-resolution video game.
Everyone,
If fans want to make merchandise based on Jims' intellectual property, it would be much better to get Jim's permission beforehand. As a very minimum they should put something on the design to give Jim credit and advertise his books. Text does not cost that much, and many vendors provide it free with their products. The donations that Priscellie and I mentioned would also help.
(http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal__MG_4504b_sm.JPG) (http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/_MG_4504b_sm.JPG)
For the most part, the book covers are Chris McGrath's (http://www.christianmcgrath.com/) work. Why there are not more of these in the Café Press Dresden shop (http://www.cafepress.com/cafepressshop50) is a mystery to me. The Café Press Jim Butcher.Com Store (http://www.cafepress.com/jimbutcher) could use some new material, too.8) :) 8)

If you're looking to compensate Jim or his agent, I suggest you make a donation to Jim's favorite charity, Missouri Pit Bull Rescue (http://www.mprgroup.net/).
