Ooooooh! I like that reference. (And I'm in a reread cycle one away from TurnCoat). So, years away...it's technically been years (7 in book years, I think...more if you include actual time between release dates). I wonder how he'd handle it now. And I wonder how the Winter Knight mantle would react to the power? Dresden the Unstoppable!

Upon rereading/listening to Proven Guilty, Lash describes the ward guarding the Carpenter's safe room as a working by Rafael or one of his lieutenants. I don't know that this entirely negates Mac as being Rafael, but I think it's food for thought. A nibble at least.

In Proven Guilty, Harry pulls up his sight to inspect the bathroom where Pell was attacked and he confirms there's something "spooky" at work. Would he have been able to use his Sight to look at Luccio in Dead Beat to confirm his thought that Corpse Taker took over Luccio's body? I know it was a spur of the moment decision, but if given another couple of moments, would he have been able to do it?

We know Murphy had a blazing angel look to herself through Harry's sight.
I figure Luccio would've had something recognizable (Not that Harry would know what to look for after the body switch--something tainted maybe?)

Rereading again. I love this book. It such a good read!

I vaguely remember a mention of Dresden and Supernatural years ago and recently, I've been listening to Kim Harrison's Hollows series.

Question: If you could crossover Dresden with another series (Urban Fantasy or other genre), which would it be and why? Follow-up question: How would you go about bringing Harry into that world?

  The above is a post I made a while back suggesting there is something important we don't know about Elaine Mallory.
  Harry has said Elaine is almost as strong as him, and in some ways more skilled.  It is not believable that Justin could have found two such apprentices by chance.
  So, Justin was supposed to be an associate of Margaret LeFay.  What did the two of them work on together?  Did Justin help Margaret learn how to create a starborn?
  There are still a lot of questions about what happened back then.

Any idea who Elaine's parents might be? If Justin knew that Harry was Margaret's son, then maybe he was also an associate of Elaine's parents as well.
