Characters in books = in the RPG book - To which novel?
« on: April 14, 2008, 05:27:44 PM »
It has been said that the "Who's Who" chapter has all the characters and monsters from the books written out in game terms.

So I have to ask, when the game is published, will it be filled to the most up-to-date Novel/Short Stories/Comic?

For instance, will the Who's WHo have gruffs? And valkyrie? And whatever pops up in further comics/stories between Now and when it's finally Published?

In his blog Chad Underkoffler notes he's doing the research for 'Small Favor' and so far has 6 pages of longhand, legal pad notes. This brings him up through page 257 and Chapter 31 (complete).

From the Butcher Block podcasts we know atleast some of the short stories are in there. I don't know if everything will be in there but its looking likely :)

Good, good. :)

For some reason, I want a Gruff-based changeling. :D

We're up to White Night right now, with a bunch of the short stories.  Chad's working on updating us to Small Favor; that'll probably be the cut-off (though we'll think about getting stuff from Backup, etc, in there too).

Thanks, Fred!

I wouldn't be surprised if anything from Welcome to the Jungle gets dropped in, either.

Well, right. That's fairly likely, since we're getting our hands on some of the art. :)

So then, if we get everything up to SmF, would there be supplimental books released a few years down the road, or would we then have to come up with our own stuff for any characters added after?

I'm betting we'll just see online updates.

Online's almost certain.  Anything else is up in the air.

Announce plans for a second edition!  It's a tradition in RPG publishing.  ;)

Seriously, though, I can hardly wait for the game.  I even ordered some Fudge dice.
