My Instagram feed has started showing me books that directly reference the dresden files it's like the dresden files with...... One was rise of the giants and the second was vigil's justice. The quote that got me to commit to dresden was it's like Buffy the vampire slayer if they cast Philip Marlowe. What I'm trying to figure out if my phone is listening and sending me books that I would like or my phone is listening and knows what to say to get me to buy a book or my phone is working with unscrupulous marketing companies (I understand the redundancy in that statement) to get me to buy their books. If anyone knows anything about these I would appreciate any info at least about claims

I'm no expert, but that's basically how all the free internet stuff like Facebook, Instagram, free email, etc. work. They take everyone's freely volunteered information and either sell it or keep it and use it to advertise to us.

I don't know if anyone has proved it, but I l would be willing to bet every device with a microphone is collecting information on you for the same reasons.
