Maybe not exactly in order but, kinda? I don't think about having a favorite, but I will admit I've re-read these the most often:
1. Blood Rites
2. Skin Game
3. Changes
4. Turn Coat
5. Small Favor

I can also give you the books I barely remember exist and rarely re-read:
1. White Night
2. Grave Peril

And books I dislike based on the focus on certain characters:
3. Proven Guilty (Molly)
4. Dead Beat (Ugh, Butters, I hate polka)

  I don't think of a favorite either;
Grave Peril
Dead Beat
Small Favor
Summer Knight
Turn Coat

Interesting, while RobReece did list Battle Ground, so far everyone have listed books pre-Changes, though some did include Changes.  Small sample to be sure, but I wonder if that says anything about either the writing, the setting for, or the stories post-Changes?

Lets wait for the sample size to be a bit larger before we draw any conclusions .
There is a book or 2 im waiting to see if they are on anyone's list

As I said, it is small and early, just saying it might be pointing towards a trend.

For what I've seen around, if you're a new fan, that got into TDF after the hype of Changes (that seemed to come because the writer killed his MC and made it work and Harry is a "cool" guy) and over the 5 year hiatus leading up to Peace Talks/Battle Ground, you like post Changes books.

But if you're old guard, meaning you've been around long enough that you were reading around Dead Beat, went through Changes and had to wait for Ghost Story to come out, you prefer pre-Changes books.

This is just my impression though, based on what I see across platforms where fandom gathers.

That's a good point, I think it is because the old guard or those who have been fans early on, loved the series for different reasons than the newer fans.

Top 5

1. Changes
2. Skin Game
3. Turncoat
4. Small Favor
5. Dead Beat
6. Cold Days (added because I somehow forgot about Dead Beat.

I like the Denarian Collection of #s 5, 10, and 15. Taken as a collection, they're pretty cool.
Also, there are scenes in several books I absolutely love. In Changes when Dresden and crew first take the field against the Red Court and he uses Earth magic to change gravity! Bam. Love it. Also, when he and Carlos duel the White Court baddies. Good stuff. And the introduction of Goodman Grey in Skin Game and he and Dresden's game against Nic.

Maybe we need a top 5 scenes along with top 5 characters other than Dresden.

Cheers all---Have a good one.

Missing you, Md

There are many horrible sights in the multiverse. Somehow, though, to a soul attuned to the subtle rhythms of a library, there are few worse sights than a hole where a book ought to be. Someone has stolen a book (Terry Pratchett)
