thank you :-*
It's Friday and I bought some fish at the market. Everything looked so tasty so that when I got home, I made myself a lot of fish and algae salad with fresh bread. Well, yeah, now I'm stuffed. ;D
And wow, there suddenly are so many new books out, that I must admit, I'm a bit overwhelmed. First I've read the new one by Jim's son, now I am reading Stone & Sky, the new Rivers of London novel. Then there is already a new short story collection by Patricia Briggs featuring Asil the werewolf trying to get a date.
In November, there will be the third novel of An Inheritance of Magic by Benedict Jacka, and there is already the next Fairytale book on my kindle, you know, the one with the descendants of fairytale "heroes" and the prophesy that the Dark Prince will return. Well, the Prince did return and now everything looks kind of apocalyptic. It's in German and is called Ever&After by Stella Tack. This is the third book and it is called Die letzte Stunde (the last hour).
Parallel I have relistened to Brief Cases and Side Jobs. Currently I am trying out the new Graphic Audio of Storm Front. I like it.
And maybe, if there is still time, I will register or reread Peace Talks and Battle Ground before Twelve Months.
Then I found out that there will be a new book from Drew Hayes of Fred the Vampire Accountant. Cool.
So I would say that for now I am unlikely to run out of books soon.
Edit: typos, I really need some better glasses. I am getting old.

Hi Regen!! So good to see you here.
Glad you enjoyed your food. I am (allegedly) allergic to fish, but I had a chicken with salad yesterday that was delicious too.
I hope you enjoy your plethora of books. I bought the Thursday Murder Club but I barely began reading it. I've been super busy. And I am also in the mood for playing some computer game. Did you ever played some of the Phoenix Wright games? The one I am playing not it is inspired but those, with the same game mechanics, but it is not part of the saga. I think I will begin a new case today.
Also, today we have elections. Not to president but to parliament representatives. Time will tell what happens...I don't think any party will have much difference above the other. I will tell you later.
Regenbogen:
Hi, weird!
@Dina, I've read about those elections in the news.
Today, our new bed frames will arrive. And next week our new mattresses.
The old frames are broken in part and are now beyond repair. Maybe we can use the wood for building something else. And my mother wanted to gift the mattresses to us. There's a try-out period of 100 days, which is great and that's why we ordered them online.
Yesterday, my husband and I started watching a new German series. It's called "Kohlrabenschwarz", which can be roughly translated to "pitch black".
It's some sort of mystery-horror-detective story. I like it. There are 6 episodes which can currently be streamed for free on the website of one of the big TV programs of Germany. But the free version is of limited time. It's on Paramount.
My husband knows one of the actors who played a small role as the father of one of the victims in the first episode. They know each other from his time acting in a small independent film, where the actor played a psychologist and my husband played a grumpy racist man.
It was about one or two years ago. My husband was asked if he could imagine acting in this film, because he knew the producer through his hobby theatre acting and as a young adult the producer made some films in each of which my husband played a role.
It was fascinating to see him in a "real film", something professional. We watched the premiere at a small cinema in our city and the writer and director asked him if he would like to continue working with her, when he had time. And she asked me if I would like to play a role, too, which I declined. I am no actor. If she wants me to sing though, I will do it, as long as no one sees me, lol.
This is the series we started watching yesterday:

Sorry, there is only German so far, but I think the video shows the atmosphere very well.
There is humour in it, too. At the end of the trailer he asks the woman if he should take her home and she answers: No thanks, I came with the broom.
Dina:
Hi Weird!
Yes, the government got an unexpected victory and most of us are super confused. The main consequence is that they plan to do changes in the labor laws. In short, they are changing the model of country we have. It was a model basen on the right of the workers and the solidarity and now it will be based on individual productivity. It will be more akin to the US model. They still have to pass the bills in the Congreso (Parliament?) by now they have lots of representatives, which was not the case until now.
Having new beds is always excellent news!
It is so interesting what you tell us about your husband knowing one actor, and even you've been offered to work too :). Great, keep enjoying it. Sorry but the video you linked is not available in my country.
Dina:
I link to another post of mine because I think you can find it interesting but perhaps Weird people does not wander for all the threads in the forum.
