PilgrimDan:
And Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Regenbogen:
Maen, weird.
Sorry I am late but may the 4th still be with you all!

So, the new pope was born in Chicago. May he have a long and healthy life.

@Dina: I wish you luck with the new job. Is it in the university, too? Or another institution, a school?

Update on the new house. It was fascinating. They put it together in one day. I watched and documented the whole process for the neighbours, because I had the best view from our roof. I've seen houses built, but not like this. I once watched a documentary of people setting together a prefabricated house, but this was the real thing. The precision of the conductor of the crane was fascinating. The most difficult were the two parts of the ground floor. Especially the second part. Once one of the builders shouted to the one in the crane that he needed 2 cm to the right and the crane did a small adjustment and the big house part was 2 cm to the right. Wow!
I could not bring myself to look away, I had to watch the whole process. LOL, and I wasn't the only one.

And before they delivered the parts, our street and the half of two other streets had to park the cars somewhere else, because the space was needed for three trucks and the crane. Once the crane stood, it was impossible to get in or out of our street, except by foot. Or carrying your bike over the stabilisers which Micro did with help, but Mini decided to go through the high grass of the meadow to get to school.

This was last week. Now they are doing the interior and the roof tiles. The new neighbours will move in at the beginning of June at the latest. At least that's when they have to vacate their old flat.

Dina:
Hi Regen!
Yes, the new Pope is from Chicago and I am having fun imagining him as a friend of Father Forthill. I was actually was making a fast read of his wikipedia page and when I've read that he had been an altar boy in a Church called Saint Mary...I gasped. But it was Saint Mary of the Assumption or something like that.

What you told us about the house building sounds truly fascinating. I would have been watching the whole process too. And I am glad you and your neighbors can use the streets normally now. I hope your new neighbors are nice.

And speaking of neighbors, my neighbors from below are doing some works below (home improvement) and it  is noisy . It is quite annoying (it has been much worse some weeks ago, now I think they are doing more precision jobs).

Thank you for your good wishes. Just to clarify, I applied for the job but I do not know if I will get it. Let's see what the universe is holding for me. And it is in the same university, just an extra part-time position.

Dina:
I made a post in the media section about the Eternaut, an Argentinian series who is based on a very classical and famous comic, with a tragic story. It is in Netflix if you want to check it. It is an apocalyptic thing.

Re: Pope

I have to say, it is a little weird to have a pope from Chicago. Have you seen the video of him at a Cubs game? Having some mental disconnect from reconciling the guy in cubs gear to the guy in the Pope clothing.

Regarding Pope Francis, I know that one of the things he did was bring a big youth movement into the church by appointing so many younger cardinals. I think I read that something like 108 out of the 134 voting Cardinals in the conclave were appointed by Pope Francis. Having that many younger Cardinals aligned with the vision of Pope Francis and now Pope Leo (also picked by Pope Francis) will hopefully lead to a new focus and drive in the church.
