Peace Talks favorite quotes (obviously spoilers)

As always, there are many but my favorite is

(home) "It's where the books are"
Missing you, Md

There are many horrible sights in the multiverse. Somehow, though, to a soul attuned to the subtle rhythms of a library, there are few worse sights than a hole where a book ought to be. Someone has stolen a book (Terry Pratchett)

Page 187 e-book
"[...] Just you remember what I taught you.”
“Never start the fight. Always finish it.”
“Not that.”
“Make your bed and do your chores?”
“Not that.”
“Something, something, never let them see you sweat.”
A grin flashed over the old man’s seamed face, there and gone. “Close enough.”

There is a "Hell's balls, Lara" that I suspect it's a typo but I laughed at it.

I think I probably read it as hell's bells because I don't remember it. I often correct spelling errors in my head and don't recognize that they happened.

Quote from: Mab
Do not attempt to eat my porridge, Ms. Raith. You will find it neither hot nor cold nor just right, because, unlike Goldilocks, the bears will have eaten you.

Quote from: Thomas
Harry, be real. Everyone wants someone to make us pancakes; we're all just too grown-up to say it.

Quote from: Bonea
Pancakes are inanimate!

Perhaps the saddest line on future rereads (if certain expectations are met):
Quote from: Maggie
Will Grandpa come for Christmas?

There's no pithy one-liner to it, but I love the conversation with Maggie at the end of Chapter 9.

“Hells Balls” may be a Freudian slip by Harry, he is talking to Lara.

T. Rex have saved Harry twice now, that makes it good practical advice. I wonder if Sue will make an appearance in Battle Ground?

I checked, ch.14, while they were fighting, just before Lara says "Pain is the best teacher".

Lets be real here, can you think of anyone Hell would rather have having it's balls, it's usually a package deal.

Probably too/with Maggie. That's why it's taken this long for Harry say something about it. It was confirmed in the short story Day Off. I can't remember the specifics, but the kids from New Orleans who didn't have enough power to be warlocks had Slytherin apparel.

@Dina: I figured you were right, and I just didn't notice it.

There is a short story where Harry Potter is extensively referenced.
