A really wild guess on Ferovax gift in GP
« on: August 02, 2017, 05:00:01 PM »
So if Cowl ends up being a time traveler could the gift be part of Ferovax Hoard from the future?  This would send an interesting message to Ferovax as he would know it can't come from a point in the past or the present.

It's saying, hey, we either killed you and got rid of the curse or you gave it to us willingly. So don't mess with us. We are either to strong or your friends.

Ferrovax's reaction doesn't really square with that. He looks pleased and says it's a good gift.

Personally I think it's the suitcase from Pulp Fiction.

What did Ferrovax receive at Bianca's party?
He got gold and gems.  Not like a ton, it was several million dollars worth.
Was it infected?
Come on!  Please.

LOL! There was a thread on that once discussing the fact the suitcase in question, and many good guesses that could correlate between suitcase and gift. An of course there's Tarentino's quote saying it was for the audience to guess at, it never really mattered in the story. Just a plot device.
Of course one of the best wishful connections that came up with was the idea it was a soul. Which wouldn't be a fortune but may be worth 'several millions' in equity :)

We all have heard about the epic curse on a dragon treasure pile. What if before hand, you gave the dragon a prepared item to add to his collection? If set up right, could it allow a way to get access to the treasure without risk of the curse?

Hmmm, Possibly.  I mean, magic is tricky.  Would take some cosmic cajones, though, to try it on Ferro.  Though the Epic Curse woj on that was in regards to Siriothrax's horde, and it was specifically a Deathcurse, so Ferro's might have different protections, ones that still let people in.  A Dragon's Horde-protecting Deathcurse wouldnt actually be concerned with allowing /anyone/ access.

I've posted a previous WAG that has the Red Court's warehouse being placed in a previous Dragon's lair.  One reason for their demise, they got hit with a death curse.  It was just a subtle, slow acting one.

I know it all depends on the Dragon, but ....

Would the curse hit the first thief, or all thieves who ever took anything from the hoard?

Im going with All.  If for no other reason than we are talking about the Deathcurse of an Immortal cosmic being of a race that Created other servator Races, and I dont see it becoming exhausted/discharged on the first idiot to wander in; it will still hit the second idiot that put the first up to it.  And if they can create whole races of smaug-like creatures, I dont think they'd have the same trouble with fueling it indefinitely like a Mortal wizard does.  Worst case they create a creature/bloodline specifically to fuel said Curse.

I wonder if necromancers or the undead could mess with the death curse on the treasure.

The fomor servitors are not the sharpest tools in the box, so they could be used to bring cursed treasure into the fomor court.

Nah, TTHarry comes to the present as an old man holding the last 2 books of GoT like Moses with the Commandments.

Am I the only one see Harry mouthing off to tHe dragon using quotes from the series? What would really be epic if the dragon also read the series, and had his own theories and favorited for it.
