Making Monsters
« on: August 16, 2007, 09:12:35 PM »
What do you all think about making monsters?  Also, we have an 'antogonists' post and an 'aspects' post... how about some suggested write-ups for the Dresden monsters?

I'm also thinking that the creatures we're talking about would have a WIDE range of numbers of aspects, stunts, and skills.  I mean, just think 'Denarian'.  I wonder if we also don't want to deal with 'monster skills or stunts' that are specifically more powerful than your average mortal person would have.

For instance, you would have for a White Court Vampire:
Aspect: Hunger
Stunt: Hunger

These, based on the books descriptions, could be pretty darn powerful, and far-reaching.  Just trying to stir up more thought and conversation.  'night all!

I would tend to put it like this:

White Court Vampire:
Aspect: Hunger.
Stunt: Power.

Power: Increase Strength, Agility, or Speed. Increasing all three costs full amount plus 1.5 times more "energy". They have not really defined the use of MAgic/Power as yet, so I'm not sure, yet.

Remember that Thomas could increase his Strength and his Agility/Reflexes and even his physical Speed by tapping into his "Inner Demon". The price that had to be paid for doing this was that he had to "feed" his Hunger.

Note sure where the Aspects is, unless it is the "Types of Magic What And Why Aspect Questions" ??

Still working on figuring out the "statblocks" for the various creatures of the Dresdenverse.  That said... the kind of blog posts you're talking about are definitely in the plans.
