Share our cities?
« on: December 06, 2011, 02:05:56 PM »
I have bent thinking about this for a while. Why don't we share out cities with each other in here? For me it's easy to set a Dresden game game somewhere near Copenhagen in Denmark, since i grew up here. Each of you probably feels the same way about the place you live or grew up in. If we could share our informations regarding the cities we have described for DFRPG in  here, we would somewhere down the line, be able to make our little groups travel travel to interesting places all over the world.

I don't intend for everybody to make a 55 page description of their city, even if if would be cool, but rather a brief description and some information about special locations, groups, factions and interesting people. It does not even have to be a full city description. If you now some local tales from a small village near you or other goodies we can use in our games. Please share them. I know these things takes time, but i will post my work on Copenhagen in here in a few weeks, if people in here actually like this idea.

I'd be up for this.  I'm in Chicagoland, but I could write up a few towns/cities.

I'll add a link to the wiki I'm building of campaigns I've been in, as well as do a write-up of a nearby town or two, once I'm done with finals (late next week).

Dallas.  Not mine, but one that is very well done on Obsidian Portal.

I'll post the link to my stuff after finals (late this week).

Thank you for the link.

Here's one of the pages on our Dallas dresden game that links to many, many other cities on Obsidian Portal.

This is not very organized, but includes threads on our Dresden Files Game based in Boston.  This has information on our city building, characters, and session reports.  Pictures are included.

My groups version of Seattle can be found in the link in my signature.  Although, after recent events (a massive earthquake that was preceded by the storm of the century due to a nasty ritual summoning) we are planning on rewriting quite a bit of it.

Representing the other side of the pond I offer Liverpool in the shap of Hangover City.

The 'Player level' info is on the DFRPG wiki which Sanctaphrax gave the link for earlier.

The 'full GM version' with the juicy stuff you want the PCs to discover as they play is evolving here http://www.wilsonclan.org.uk/DFRPG/ with 'Chapters' appearing as they are being written.

It has been on hold for a while as I had other projects which demanded my attention and fed my bank account.
I would HATE to be a character in one of the stories I write -
and then there are the days when it looks too much like I AM!

Just something I found.

That alone made me want to make an NYC campaign....

Back on topic, are you wanting our local cities, more distant cities we've run as games, or both?

Zovnig, try Rapidshare.
As a fellow Dane, I'd love to see a take on Copenhagen :)
