Harry Dresden Birthday Party 2011 - Kansas City

We will be at the Matt Ross Community Center.  The link is to a Map to the location.

The address is
8101 Marty St.
Overland Park, KS
66204

The event will be on Saturday, October 29 from 7:00 pm - Midnight.  We are asking for a donation to help defray the cost of the venue.  Any additional monies collected will go to the Salvation Army to assist in Joplin.

We will have cake and soda (maybe even coffee.)

If you'd like to come to mingle, network and just have fun you are welcome.  There will be tables and chairs if you'd like to attempt a game, and you don't have to limit it to DVRPG.

Remember this is a surprize party for Harry.  No gifts.  If he gets lost comeing to the party, well we'll just have to have fun without him.

This is a FOR SUERE "GO". 

Right now there are three spots as options for the event, and one of them includes playing the RPG.

So, if you are in the area, or will be in the area, let me know and I'll be sure you are added to the list to be kept in the loop.

What a fantastic idea. i know several people who would love to attend.

I just signed up with this site today. So is the bday party still going to happen?

So is this going to be planned for Monday the 31st, or Sunday the 30th? My cousin and I are both intrigued, but prolly won't be able to make it to a Monday night event.

This is a strong possibility for me, depending on beggar's night for my grand-daughter. There are a couple exhibits at the Nelson that i'd like to see.  :-)  Keep me posted as you set up times etc. The 31st might actuallly be best for me. Doubt I'd hang out longer than dinner, but it would be fun!

Actually the details are still a bit up in the air.  Wife and I have bounced back and forth on Sunday or Monday.  We may have an apartment's clubhouse available and some DFRPGs able to be run.  I'll try to get some things nailed down in the next couple of weeks.

Okay, the wife has spoken.  We still have some details to work out, but we'll be having the Surprise Birthday Party for Harry on Saturday, October 29th.
