I take it the movies don't make clear how much study and work is necessary in transfiguration?  And how much trouble Ron has learning to apparate?

Not in the least (that I recall).

Get out of my head! That was almost exactly what I was thinking! ...

... Probably makes for a good drinking game: "Every time Ron, Hermine and Harry break a law of magic drink a shot!"

I'm not saying it's bad.  It just isn't my cup of tea.  "Love conquers all" doesn't do it for me.  Add to that controlling, manipulative Snape, which seemed to me to be served up attempted to be disguised as love, which totally creeped me out. That's just me.  I know others who enjoyed it considerably.

It was Piss Poor! Camel Piss Poor at that.  Potter was a wimp, he gives up, Half the book does not even come together.  what was with that Fire spell he puts out in the beginning and wonders about it but it never happens again.  He Creates no Spells him self, he does nothing big, he just walks in and dies(of course he comes back) then the very ending has him gone from the wizarding world till he brings his kid to mage school... really, really!  Not even a teaching position... crazy lame.  I keep waiting for his

to drop, and become a man….

maybe im overdoing it but maybe not

I give Harry credit that he voluntarily sacrificed himself for his friends.  He thought he was going to die and be done, as I read it, and he was willing to die to save the people he cared about (not unlike our Harry).  Props to him for that.  But the Snape/Lily creepfest grossed me out.  Oh, he's so in love with her.  No, he's not.  He's a manipulative, controlling, stalker, who found someone who was more manipulative than he was (Dumbledore) who was able to twist him around and use him for something good.  Also, I would have preferred Harry to have had to actually do something to defeat Voldemort.  He won it on a technicality and it just seemed like a cop out to me.  I like the first 4 books, not so much 5 & 6, and I re- read bits and pieces of them here and there, but I doubt I'll ever re-read book 7.  In fact, can pretty much guarantee I won't.  But that's just me.

I admit it. I laughed.

I especially liked when Ron forgot to pull the trigger.
