I meant to actually show up, like that 150 dollar fee (or whatever it was) to come to the NYCC fan dinner.
I can afford to pay for dinner, but not to shovel out that kind of major cash...
The ticket price for the NYCC fan dinner was $30: $25 for food and $5 to cover the tickets of our Guests of Honor and their guests, plus PayPal's fees.
I auctioned off three tickets to cover myself in case we had any unexpected costs. That's where the $150 figure came from. There ended up being no unexpected costs, so I was able to donate the full sum (about $500) to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. (And whoops, I just now realized that I didn't subtract the $25/person food price from that sum. I guess I donated an additional $75 of my own money to Avon.
)

Sal's menu for an idea of how much you should expect to pay at the MarsCon Fan Dinner. It's a local Italian place. You're not going to break the bank.
