I've known about it for awhile.  :D  I kept wondering why nobody else was talking about it.

I thought that once one had learned of it we would all know.  So much for my JBForum hive mind theory.

Sheky...rush hour from Norfolk Int'l to Williamsburg can be a PITA.  But it's no where near as bad as rush hour in say, DC.  Remember to wave as you make your final approach, you'll fly over my house.

I'm poking the hubs about getting us tickets now...WANT TO GO!!

Oh, I know. Used to drive through DC on a regular basis on my way to and from Baltimore. I'd take 295 through the city in order to avoid the beltway as much as possible.

Also if you happen to check the traffic and I-64 (Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel)is bad you have the option of driving I-664 (Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel)around and back to 64.

Do you recommend that alternate route?

It all depends on traffic.  To get around I-664 you have to go over the High Rise bridge.  It just depends on which as the worse back up.  The High Rise or the HRBT.

It may be snowy/icy.  Would a "High Rise Bridge" be safe?

*giggles*  You're cute Prisc.

If we get snow, then no I wouldn't recommended it but it's really freakish for us to get that much snow/ice.

And unless traffic is stopped on the HRBT (which happens about once every two weeks)  it's the shorter route.

Ah.  The MarsCon website says they're frequently hit with wintry weather.  And I'm from Texas, where everyone COMPLETELY FREAKS OUT at the merest hint of a flurry. :D

They freak out here too.  But I can remember...3 times in nearly 27 years that roads have been *that* bad and schools closed for snow.
