Did you discover the books because of the TV Show?

I liked him too but I loved Harry. OMG I just fell in love with TV Harry or I'd never have tried the books. Seriously. I mean up till now I've been reading about harmone crazed teenage wizards and little girls who go looking for something in alternate realities with bears and such through some "dust" and I was wondering why I couldn't get myself to finish those books till I found Harry. I blasted through those books like they were water off a ducks back. And then it hit me... I needed to read about adults not children. So the show in that respect has done good for me. :D
Plus I haven't read this much in like forever... up till now I was reading maybe 1 whole book a year and parts of others that are still incomplete. :P And I used to blast through books in hours sometimes as a kid.
Damn my addiction to surfing the web! :P

Before I watched the TV show, I hated wizards/witches/etc. I hated fantasy as a whole. I found it boring and uneventful.
However, I watched the TV show and was hooked. A comment on youtube said there were books, so I had to read them. I went through them sooo fast!
Since then I have tried reading other science fiction wizard/witch books - and it just isn't the same. Dresden Files IMO is the only series of its kind that makes me addicted as hell.

Yeah I'm finding myself feeling that way as well. And i started buying books again. :P
