Exactly one week from right now I am going to be sitting in a hotel room... remembering that at the lower elevation it is going to cost me a whole lot more in beer to get a buzz. ;D

I can't wait. They don't let me out much.

And there is a Fry's food store 1.9 miles the other way on Grant.

I'd suggest that safeway over the Fry's,

Unfortunately there's not a whole lot near the con itself. Although I'm not generally in that area.

Hey, At this point anything helps. As of right now we are navigating on what we can find on google maps, yellowbook and any other local travel reviews we can find.

BJ's is a good place. Good food, good beer. There are two, and I honestly don't which is closer, one's on Oracle (a road to be avoided if possible) and another on Broadway. I don't mind Broadway, it's good for a major road.

I honestly wish I knew the area around the con better but I never go over there.

one's on Oracle (a road to be avoided if possible)

In what context should it be avoidied?
Far too many potholes for non 4x4's?
Or is it a safety in numbers if your low on ammo kind of place?

It's an "Oh my god will we ever get through this light. Then if we somehow manage to get through this light how on Earth will we ever get through the next one...and the next one and the next -- You know what? I'm just gonna kill myself now" type road.

Well in that case you just won't get there, like I said it's quite a ways away from the con.

I haz a very sad...

Youngest's state competition for competitive cheer is Saturday. Even if it gets done before two, I really don't think I'll be up to driving down to Tucson after the wedding Friday night and being up at the buttcrack of dawn to get youngest there.
