Time travel, parallel realities intersecting. Basic mechanics of magic. Apparently some people have worked out major details from the earliest stuff.

Maybe look out for appearances of beings who are in disguise?

Pay attention to symmetry. An example in Proven Guilty is the opening and closing trials. Proven Guilty and Turncoat.  The hunt for the hidden traitor.  Changes and the attack at Arctis Tor. Assault on a stronghold.
