Sorry to hear about the so-so
No, I am not decorating. First, we traditionally do the decorations (Tree, and some things like that) on December 8, which is a religious Holiday. But besides, this year is going to be sad. Hubby and I will spend Christmas alone.
But a week's holiday sounds very good!  :)

I don't usually decorate so early, but this year it's more that I want to get the outside lights up for the locals.

I'm going to miss visiting family and miss an anniversary for the first time in five years. It's tough, but needs must.

On the plus side we've started stocking The Cupboard.

What do you mean by that? (stocking the cupboard?)

Ah, The Cupboard.

So important it merits Capital Letters.

It's where all of the non perishable festive treats are kept.

Ahhh! That sounds very, very important. I am sure you will have some delicacies. We are thinking in buying a pionono and, of course, I will have an icecream cake, but that will be bought the previous day  :)

If you get bored on your free week, you can always read here the Spoilers section. It has been quite interesting after BG. For the first time in many years I am dying for a new DF book.

Also, your PM is full.

It is very important! It was always the cupboard of mystery when I was a child.

Mmmmm, ice cream cake. That may go in the list.

I haven't reread BG yet, then I'll go see what the Duck thinks before going to the spoilers. 😁

Yes, there are messages I don't want to delete yet. I'll go see what I can syphon out.

Don't worry, I just wanted to answer yours, nothing too important.

That sounds so fun about the cupboard.

Icecream, you have to remember we will be in Summer, so icecream would be a must. It almost is now, and today we only had 24°C.

I wish I know what the Duck thinks, but she is not posting here. And I actually finished rereading BG a couple of days ago. It has been much better the second time, because I was not so worried.

Oh, did you see about Captain Jack Harness?

Us Brits will eat ice cream at any time of the year.
*Nods sagely*

The Duck is her usual punny self when I see her on farcebook. People still despair when we get going.

Noooooo... What about Captain Jack? Enquiring minds HAVE to know.

Well, that he will be appearing in the DW Holiday Special this year  :). Also, there are some flashy blue daleks I am not too interested about.

You do well in having icecream all year long. Many of us are like that, but not everyone. I don't know why because our icecream is delicious.

Please, send the Duck my regards. I miss her so much.

I hadn't seen that!
Something to red pen in the Radio Times when I get it.

I'll say hello for you. :)

I'm going to sign off now, Blackadder is about to start and it's the Tom Baker episode.

Ouch. Does it survive the first night? I'm usually quite smart about this. I never get caught.
Also hi Shades. :D hey Dina.

Hey there!
How are you guys?
I'm back from the nightshift week. At least physically. My brain will have to catch up later.  8)

@Shades, what's usually in The Cupboard? Food or presents?
I have a place in my bedroom cupboard, where I hide presents, though I might have to change the hiding place. It has been compromised.

Oh, I'm excited about Captain Jack. I hope they show the same episode here. Is it a Capaldi or a Whittaker episode?

We used to hang these things in the christmass tree as a lot of people do in the netherlands. Guess how long they stayed there with three young children.  ;D

Blame your brother, blame your sister and if that not works blame the cat. She can not protest.

Our tree was with caramel candies and chocolate. My mother always had a lot more hidden to replace those who had gone mysteriously missing.
