What is Harry Watching?
« on: June 12, 2019, 11:25:26 AM »
I was just thinking if Harry is crashing in Molly's apartment for the past few months, the Svartálfar likely have a means of allowing the internet into their place for communication.  So, if Harry or Molly are paying a subscription and the TV is protected from magic, what shows on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or others do you think Harry is enjoying to allow him to keep up to date on his cultural wiseassery?

The whole Star Wars saga, and the newer Trek movies, he maybe even watching the new series... But somehow I doubt he is watching all that much, Harry is a reader...  Also little Maggie will be keeping him very busy...

Just means he's watching Frozen, as a good Winterling should.

If you have to watch movies for children, try to convince them of the ones you also like.

Rise of the Guardians? Adequate winter movie.

Judging by his reaction to Mab's gift in the Christmas Eve story, he's probably seen Frozen more times than he'd have ever wanted to.

I'm hoping for at least one "winter is coming" comment.   :o

I do like Rise of the Guardians, it's take on the mythology. Aussie Bunny is good for me and Aussies like us.

But I also enjoy Russian Tattooed Pirate Santa. It's pretty close to how I imagine Kringle.

And I love Jack Frost as a Spriteling of Winter. I have him and Peter Pan as WInter and Summer Princes respectively.

As for what Harry's watching, I'd want his take on Game of Thrones and if he could binge watch it.

I wonder if he was disappointed with the end and blew up the television?

It's obvious Harry would watch the movies Snowpiercer, The Grey, Happy Feet, March of the Penguins and Smilla's Sense of Snow. (To name a few Winter-ish movies.)
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Honestly? He's probably watching a lot of kids' shows. I think lil' Maggie's a bit too old for the likes of Peppa Pig, but I'd bet you the two of them would get a kick and a half out of Gravity Falls. Harry would probably have a lot of fun complaining about the way gnomes are depicted.

Then I could see him looking at his daughter and saying, "You know what I used to watch?" and marathoning Quantum Leap and Knight Rider.
