My theory is that Mab just wanted the bullet that was in Mac. Mac healing once the bullet was removed was a side issue.
Mab is going to use the bullet used against Mac, who is a Power in and of himself, against something big. She is going to do something like Gard did in 'runing' the bullet that Marcone used later to take out the Fomor lord.
