The surface
« on: May 09, 2016, 12:05:47 AM »
The information we get about the surface made me tilt my head to the side and think "Titania won?"  I am certain that within the DF it has been laid out that if Titania ever won over Mab the result on earth would be life growing unchecked.   The mist has a corrosive effect on Fe.  Would be pretty reassuring for the fae if human access to it suddenly dropped off.  The Wayist temple was growing plants & flowers, had bees, but under "controlled" conditions.  Not wild conditions.  Kinda nervy for humans to be thinking they could put nature under their control.   Be a shame if anything ....happened... to it.  Anyone else have those thoughts?

I didn't but now I can't stop. :D  Certainly should have picked up on the Iron connection. I think I remember a WoJ saying that he started the series wanting to be steampunk and that meant tea and goggles obviously. Then he came up with a reason for the tea and googles. Plus his classic fantasy background made him wanna do an old school naval story and voila. But that doesn't mean that once he had the reason he couldn't have justified it through the DFU. My thought was alien planet that we space aged human attempted to terraform without understanding the ether. But the idea of the Enemy controlling plants and animals as marionettes is terrifying.

I think your idea is very interesting. I'll think some more about that.
I always believed TAW happens in our Earth in the distant future but I never linked it to TDF
Missing you, Md

There are many horrible sights in the multiverse. Somehow, though, to a soul attuned to the subtle rhythms of a library, there are few worse sights than a hole where a book ought to be. Someone has stolen a book (Terry Pratchett)
