Because Soulgazes don't reveal everything. With Tomas Margaret specifically made something just in case it did not reveal what she needed, (Their relation and/or her message of love.)

going through these, I remembered Jim at a signing when SK had come out.  There was a question about if we'd ever get to see someone else gaze Harry and he'd thought for a minute and said that if would have to be in a short story from someone else's POV... but who is significant to get their own POV, that hasn't already gazed on Harry?
