This is awesome! I'd seen the ConNooga post a while back, but disregarded it since i'm in California. Today I found out that my squadron is sending me out to Georgia for training, and i'll be only 3 hours away during the convention! I'll finally have a chance to meet Jim!

On another note, does Jim often do signings and cons out in the Sacramento/San Fransisco area? I try to keep my eyes open for any of them, but I haven't noticed anything since I was stationed out here a couple years ago.

Is there any chance of Jim going to FAN Expo Canada this year, or any of the Chicago cons?

I report the news as I get it. :D  If it's not here, it's not been cleared for announcement.

Just a note that Kickstarter contacted me that private information was hacked. It sounds like no credit cards etc, but maybe passwords. Everything is fine in my accounts and I changed all passwords.  Just an FYI.

Jim Butcher is going to gen con in August!

This is fantastic.  I haven't had the opportunity to attend any of Jim's live readings/panels before.

Okay, now this one I might go to.  I have family in Indiana I visit on occassion and it's only a four-ish hour drive iirc.  Depending on all that goes one, this might be one trip I make time for.

I asked Jim when the first SP book would be out -he said he was going to be sending it to the publishers shortly.

AWESOME!! Jim is coming back to Phoenix. I'm trying to get the time off work. I missed Jim when he was in Tucson so this will be the first time I've had a chance to go to one of his signings since Small Favor came out.
How do you know you have a good book?  It's 3am and you think "Just one more chapter!"

When I saw that Jim was going to Phoenix I was like, "YEAH!!  THAT'S one I'll go to for sure." as I used to live in Phoenix and would LOVE to come visit again.

Then I looked at who all else was going to be there and I got even more excited.

Then I looked at the dates.

DAMN!!

I'll be at Boy Scout Camp starting on June 5, so no Phoenix ComicCon for me.  Have fun all.
