4300 words today, plus a repass on the previous chapter that's probably about another 100 words all told.

past 25kwords now.  Go me.

Nice forum.  Always good to see that there are people who are enthusiastic about their writing.  Also nice to see the encouragement shared between replies.

I've been working on my first novel for about a 18 months using Jim's formula from his blog.  It works for me.  Up to a little more than 137,000 words.  Probably will end up at around 200k, but tough to tell because who knows what will be added/cut when I begin editing.

Most of my work is done during the weekends or on vacation.  Taking two weeks off now and hope to add another 20,000 words.

Haven't been here for a while. Been spending time on another writing forum--a lot of changes there at the moment--and some of my writing time was hijacked.

But I managed to get some writing done lately. 300, 250 and 400 words for three days. A story, two novels. Today will be better but will come back later to say how many.

And I want to say. I forget what thread I said it in but speaking of my lost cat. She has been found and is back home. A bit thinner but everything else is okay.

Came back to say I did 760 words today. Not a lot for me but better than I have been doing lately.

And a new item. I hate to ask this here but I looked over the spoiler forum--went back a few pages--and found only one reference to "Changes" that didn't deal with what I thought people would be talking about. Something kinda of obvious in the book, but maybe too obvious therefore no one feels the need to discuss it but is there a thread for "Changes" in general?  Probably goes back way over a year ago and I may not have gone back far enough.

120k in the box.  A little bit a day keeps the gremlins away!

I know I'll finish this book up in no time flat if I can keep up this pace!

Hey all,

Over the past several days I've written over 9000 words which is unbelievable for me. Most of that was in the form of a new short story, the rest of it for a personal essay/reflection. I'm holding off on writing a novel until I complete the challenge I've set myself, to write 52 short stories, one every week for a year.

I'm charting this effort on a new blog 52 In A Year and I sincerely hope it works in getting me to continue producing. I need to keep this up if I want to get anywhere.

Best of luck to everybody. :)
