Male to Female ratio

Just noticed the "Male to Female" ratio (2.1:1) in the general statistics.  Anyone knows if this refers to number of members/posts/views/time logged in?

Ah, I thought that might be the case.

I have long had the impression that the average post on these boards was made by a female (e.g. seven of the top ten posters are listed as female), so this seemed off.

I agree, there are many posters who stay only in the RPGs, who are most likely male. In fact, I would think the majority of members on this board are male.

Don't forget that women are much less likely than guys to post their sex online. That could be putting a dent in the overall numbers.

Mine says I'm female, but that was mostly a whim when I made the account - I don't usually pick a sex.
