It could just be my computer/connection, but the emoticons are showing up as words rather than pictures.


(It's kind of funny actually - people have random words tacked on to the end of their posts.)

That'll happen when your browser for whatever reason fails to download the images. The words are the alt-text.

Hmmm. Could be that the javascript isn't running for some reason or other, but nothing's been changed that should affect that. A mystery.

It looks like site avatars are also affected.  With those, and the emoticons, I'm getting the ? pictures.  Could it possibly have something to do with redoing the main site? Things moved from where they were, maybe?

Nope, the images are still where they're supposed to be:

Actually, when I was new to the forum (not long ago) I wondered if that was actually you, and then when I saw you in the youtube vids of the recent dragon*con it was quite obvious that it is.  So IMO the image still works it.

Oh, and I just realized that you are wearing the ozzy specs that I recommended Eibhlin put on her son for his Nicodemus costume in this post
