Hi, Pris,

Can you add +1 (Lauraileen) to the Fan Dinner--a friend of mine who's just started getting into DF (about halfway through the books)...has booked a room and wants to come to the Fan Dinner.  Thanks!

Well, another bit of my costume arrived yesterday...but it's a secret!  I'm working on the great suggestions from Serack & folks on the list...and have a few extras that I've scoped out...ordered a few more online today...

Hoping in the next 20 books JB puts in a 50-ish rubenesque female character to make my costuming efforts in the future easier  ;) ;D  I think I'll Twitter that suggestion to him!

You have secret weapon?

So some of your weapons get uppity about everything you say, and the rest are rude?  ;D

Not to mention without the benefit of matrimony....egad!  Dogs would just consider the bats food--tasty winged morsels.

I read something once that suggested the anticoagulant in vampire bat saliva doesn't effect dogs, but I have never seen it in an actual peer reviewed article so I don't know if it's true.

Greebo would likely agree:

Quote
Greebo is a fictional character in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. He is first introduced in Wyrd Sisters. He is a foul-tempered one-eyed grey tomcat whose human, Nanny Ogg, insists against all the evidence that he is a sweet, harmless kitten. In the course of the books, he has killed two vampires, eating at least one of them in the novel Witches Abroad:
Quote
The bat squirmed under his claw. It seemed to Greebo's small cat brain that it was trying to change its shape, and he wasn't having any of that from a mouse with wings on.
