Phew. Lots of juicy bits. Another Our World-sized book with Baltimore-sized chunks talking about Revolutionary Russia, the Nevernever, South America, the Everglades and Las Vegas.

The gist of it was that the sourcebook would cover material & locations that Jim Butcher isn't planning to hit - but he will have input into its direction and sign off on it, so I suppose it'll expand the canon 'verse.

I'm really curious to see if they carry on the writing-from-Billy-Bob-and-Harry's POV thing or if it'll be from another principal in the Dresdenverse, say someone who is more involved with the Paranet and lives in LA...

Good podcast in general, and I got to learn a lot about Apocalypse World as well (now there's an interesting sounding game to look at and pick up). Other noteworthy Evil Hat news was that they're now distributing Diaspora, which is a pretty awesome flavour of FATE aimed at hard sci-fi.

Crap. Now there's even more stuff I need to buy from Evil Hat.

Totally not fair.

I had enough trouble getting my hands on regular Fudge dice... :) As the store owner said, "I've never seen a run on Fudge dice like this..."

I wonder if there's any changes between the Evil Hat distribution of Diaspora and the one I have now, and if there are any, if they're just cosmetic. There's some differences between the two flavours of Fate, but I'm pretty stoked that there's now FATE engines for most of the major genres out there (Legends of Anglerre for fantasy, Starblazers for space opera, Diaspora for hard sci-fi)

When the DFRPG was about to come out, I kept asking for something I couldn't put into words until the podcast when Fred described this book. "Game material beyond the scope of the novels"

That's what I wanted, and now there's going to be an entire book of it....

Haven't seen a lot of love for this; maybe its expectation management, in case it takes 4 years to come out :)

Yeah, we've basically leaked the existence of the project rather than officially announced it because, well, you know. :)

yeah if you make it official your bound to fall behind, change gears or just fall on your face.   Never make it official until just before it is ready to be sold.

Can't catch one bit... did where did he say the Gatekeeper's domain is?  I heard the part about the Moon and Nevernever, but not where his actual citadel is on terra firma.
