« on: September 17, 2010, 02:20:53 AM »

The FINAL THREE TICKETS to the Jim Butcher Fan Dinner at NYCC are now up for auction!  The auctions end September 25th at 11pm Eastern.

Ticket #1/3 - Ticket #2/3 - Ticket #3/3

Proceeds from this auction will go towards covering any unexpected costs of the event, and all surplus will go to the The Avon Foundation via BooksForBoobs: fighting breast cancer while supporting awesome authors!

Books for Boobs and Project Teddybear have 60 other live auctions right now, which are purely for Avon fundraising--all proceeds from these auctions (after fees and costs) will go to The Avon Foundation.  BooksForBoobs' offerings include autographed books by Pat Rothfuss, Mary Robinette Kowal, Scott Westerfeld, 2010 Campbell-winner Seanan McGuire, and more!  Project Teddybear's current batch includes stars of TV Land, Sci-Fi, and the cast of White Collar.  Spread the word!

While the ticket auctions end the evening of the 25th, most of the book auctions have less than a day to go!  Bid on autographed books by Pat Rothfuss, Naomi Novik, Brandon Sanderson, Seanan McGuire, Scott Westerfeld, and more!  All proceeds (minus fees and costs) will go to the Avon Foundation.  Winners will also receive a 4x6 print of the photo of the author with an Avon teddy bear.

As I write this, we still have eight books without bids.  For every book that receives its first bid, I'll donate an additional $10 to the Avon Foundation.

Who's going to be the lucky person to win Michele Lang's Lady Lazarus?  I hear some guy thought it was good or something: "An absolutely unique protagonist in an engaging tale set against the backdrop of the greatest clash of good and evil in human history. What's not to love about Lady Lazarus?" --Jim Butcher

Who will try tears of laughter as they peruse the magnificently illustrated pages of Pat Rothfuss' magnificently twisted bedtime story, The Princess and Mr. Whiffle?

Who will marvel at the inventiveness of Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan, signed by both author and illustrator?

Almost half the books and bears are currently less than $25. Who will fight breast cancer while supporting awesome authors?
