BB004 - Furious Nerds and Prime Cuts

Download the podcast here

(21 min 2 sec) Fred's running off to Dreamation and Jim's on pain medication, so this episode deviated a bit from our original expectations.  You'll find a short commentary on the first episode of the TV series, "Birds of a Feather", including an apology Robert Wolfe made about some of the episode, as well as Fred's thoughts on controversy.  But that's all secondary to this episode's special "Prime Cut" from the upcoming Summer Knight audio book...

Bwee!  Great chapter.  I can't wait to get my hands on the audio book.  12 weeks is so far away!

I look forward to hearing your full review of the first two episodes, and I hope Jim's mouth pain diminishes to interview-tolerable levels.  All the fandom sends you healing vibes, Jim!

For those of us who had never heard the audio books enacted by Marsters, this was a real treat! Thanks Fred. I enjoyed that. :)

You can listen to the first few chapters of the first four books for free on the Buzzy site, though I highly recommend  investing in the full audio books themselves.  They're so well done!  They got me back in the habit of listening to audio books again, and they're probably my favourite audio book performances.  The Buzzy gals certainly know what they're doing!

Nice show there, though filling most of the show with the chapter preview made it only about 1/2 an episode.  imho.

Priscellie, can you give me a link? I've read here about Buzzy but I don't know where to find them. :)

*points up*  There's a link in the Show Notes.  Here's the link to the Summer Knight audio book, then here's Strom Front, Fool Moon, and Grave Peril.

Hmm, yeah well...erm... Liked the show and will wait longingly for the next one... and I understand time was an issue...

I just don't listen to spoken books much... never did like it.

Then again....  :-[ I like this one. Is the speaker really "Spike" from Buffy? I never noticed...

erm... Ok grudgingly accepting a great show. And you did speak slower, did you Fred? Well done.

You paid attention at the beginning when I said it was something I had to push out extra-fast since I had no time to do an episode otherwise, right?

Speaking of Nerdfury... j/k  ;)
Yes, it's him. The accent he used on Buffy wasn't his real one.

j/k is shorthand for "just kidding."
